Foreword: Please read first, important information!

Edit: I changed the cover photo, after mulling it over for a while I decided I wanted to have something I made. It's not spectacular, and doesn't fit in the cover exactly, but it'll do.

I've noticed there's quite a bit more mistakes than originally thought. I'll be slowly going through them, but for the mean time just pretend they're not there.

Warning: This story touches on some pretty dark subjects, touchy matters, and gore. This is intended for mature audiences. This story also depicts underage drinking, I do not condone that.

Hello, author speaking. I would like to explain a few things first before you read:

For those who don't have a long attention span for pre story explanations, allow me to put the important stuff first before writing about myself and why I wrote this.

The story will mainly be first person besides a few chapters and parts.

Each chapter will be, in google docs standards, between ten to twenty pages. So needless to say there are a few pretty long chapters. The chapters will be on the shorter side at the beginning of the story, however.

My oc is basically the gender bent version of Steven, but I made many drastic changes to a few characters, concepts and locations relating to Steven Universe. To spare from story spoilers that's all I'll say, just keep this in mind while reading.

This story is technically complete, but has an open ended ending. I understand it might leave much to be desired, but there is a reason.

My goal for this fan fiction is to hopefully finish it after One Piece ends, so that might take quite a few years. Recently, I had a sudden idea of a change I want to make. That change will require me to completely rewrite this entire story, and do surgery on many of the events and scenes to add things. I already spent a year or two working on this version, and don't want to scrap any hard work and thought that may be tossed.

So consider this story the first rough draft, or first official version. It is rather unpolished, so bear that in mind. I understand there will be many grammatical errors, and awkward narration and story telling, but I am not going to be changing this draft. I will be republishing another copy of the rewritten story, it will have the same name. Also, please be warned of the near lethal amounts of cringe ahead.

The only thing I own is my character and the combination of words strung together to make this story. This story follows the plot line of one piece, with added arcs. I do hope there are at least a few people out there who find some enjoyment out of this.

Why I wrote this:

First of all, I began writing this a couple of years ago. I really love One Piece, and Steven Universe. They've gotten me through lots growing up.

Another thing is that I love reading fan fiction, and I love seeing how other people interpret things and what they create with their minds. I'm also a huge sucker for romance, which is what I normally read. I've gotten a lot of inspiration for my writing style and events in this story from other fan fictions on this platform, so if anyone recognizes any of them that would be pretty neat.

I always daydream, and one day, I wondered what it would be like is Steven Universe and gems were in the universe of One Piece. This caused me to try and find some stories about it specifically, alas, there was none I could find. I fantasized a lot and never was able to find many good fan fictions about Luffy and an OC that I liked. I have a hard time reading self inserts, I don't like inserting myself into things. Thus, I decided to write my own story. It isn't the best of quality, but I put a lot of hard work into this and that's enough for me.

This has been a good outlet for me to unload cringe, it's cathartic I'll say. However hard parts of this story may be to get through, I thoroughly enjoyed writing it. Working on this has gotten me through so much in the past couple of years, and has given me something to look forward to. I feel like I've learned a lot about writing, and being able to write my ideas down into a cohesive story.

The reason I'm publishing this the way it is now is because I got to a part of the story I could end it and publish as is. I'm scared of not finishing projects, so hopefully I'll feel a little better knowing I actually put out something I worked hard on. I will say that when I republish the story, it will extend much past the end of this one. I realized that I'm writing a rather long story, and that Oda might take a long time to finish One Piece, but I also want people to see some of my work. So I'm putting this out here, so it can be public while I start from the beginning. The next story won't be exactly the same, I'm definitely going to be making big changes with Nora as well as a character along with many changes to scenes and events.

Despite the amounts of cringe, I do hope that there are people out there who enjoy this story, and if you don't that's perfectly fine as well. But I do thank each and every person who clicked on this story for at least being interested enough by the name I came up with to click on it.

Also, the cover is a little place holder I made, I have no pictures for this story I'm not a very good artist.

To anyone who makes it to the end of my story, whether you like the end or not, I thank you as well. I want nothing from my story besides for it to just exist out in the world.

So, until I've completed the final draft of my story, I will be leaving this one here.
