Static and Gavin had soon started a small garden near the altar. They planted the seeds that came from the roses, sprouting a flower called a CropseBloom, or a CracasDaisy.

"So it says it won't grow on its own and we need to feed it.' Static explained.

Gavin looked at the plant, which had sprouted a small sharp stem. "Feed it? What do we even feed it?"

Static flicked his tongue and revolted with disgust at the smell of the plant. "Dead things. Meat. Bones. Rotting plants. That stuff."

Gavin gagged slightly. The sprout had only burst from the ground a matter of minutes ago but it smelled rancid. "Ugh. I guess they call it a CorpseBloom for a reason." He said, trying to lighten the mood a bit.

"Cause it smells like a corpse?"

"Yeah. That's the joke." Gavin said with a small sigh.

Static wagged his tail slightly in amusement. "They also call it a CarcasDaisy."

Gavin nodded. "Mhm. Hey, I'm gonna head to the butcher and get some scraps. I'm sure Tony would love to see me." Gavin said as he stood up from the ground and started walking out of the fenced area. "Just stay here with that gross plant. I'll be back in 20."

Static nodded and stared at the plant. He flicked his tail slightly, the presence of the plant made him slightly nervous. He stared at it and felt his stomach churn and so he turned to his backpack and took the Grimoire from his bag. He fiddled slightly with his pendant, which blinked at him.

Static shook his head and look and opened his Grimoire. He skimmed through the pages. 'CorpseBlooms, also known as CaracsDaisys can be used to defend your garden. They are used to produce zombees and CorpseSap.' He read quietly to himself, he looked at the plant and he swore he could hear it gurgle as a small bit of glowing green sap piddled from the small stem.

Static flicked his tail nervously once again, he flicked his tounge, searching for Gavin's return, yet he was only greeted with the pungent smell of the plant.

He gagged. He flicked his tail nervously in a rapid motion back and fourth, making marks in the dirt. Static felt so nervous being around this plant as it gurgled and spat up some more of the green sap.

"CorpseSap. . ." Static mumbled.

The plant gurgled again, and soon the gurgle started to sound like a growl. The open stem of the plant started to open and grow thorny teeth. It growled.

Static looked up at the mouth flower and flicked his tail nervously. "Uh-oh." Static grabbed his glove and clumsily tried to put it on, his claws sweating.

The plant growled and lunged at him, but it had already rooted deep into the ground. Static realized it was stuck and he grabbed his bag and the Grimoire. He headed for the gate.

His claws reached for the handle but he froze with realization. There was no handle. The gate could only open with a keycard, only held by a Cultologist, which means only Gavin and his apprentice.

Static stared at the growling stem as he pressed his back against the door. Static reached for his glove and cocked it, but the small screen turned red, reading 'Not enough fuel' and Static panicked.

There wasnt enough fuel in the area for his glove to blast. It was too quiet, he hadn't seen a proper raido device since he got here, it was freezing outside, atleast 2 degrees, and he hadn't got the chance to get some electricity in the chamber.

Static swore under his breath and stared down the growling plant. Suddenly he heard a click and fell to the ground as the gate opened. He looked up, his eyes full of relief, thinking he was about to see Gavin. Instead he saw a blonde girl, only about 17 or so. She was wearing grey sweatpants and a terracotta red hoodie.

"What the- Are you a spectre?" She asked, looking down at Static.

"What?!" Static yelped at her staytement, fully offended. Static scrambled up to his feet. "Do I look like a spectre?!"

She looked up at the snake who was now towering over her. "Maybe? You're uhm- blue? Most spectre are blue. . ." She explained a bit wearily.

The plant growled once again and both Static and this girl turned to it. The plant growled and snapped its newly developed jaws at Static, it seemed to be trying to uproot itself.

"What is THAT?!" The girl practically screamed.

Static flicked his tail nervously. "It's a long story just, where is Gavin?"

"Dr.Andric? I- I don't know?! Why would I know?! What even are you?!" The girl yelped as she backed out of the fenced in area, closing the gate.

"Wait wait- No-! Come back!" Static pleaded as he gipped the chainlink fence, three times his own hight.

As the girl backed up she bumped into a familiar person. Gavin.

"April? What are you doing here? You're an hour early." Gavin said as he held a smelly plastic bag.

The blonde girl, April looked at Gavin. She was taller than him by a couple inches. "School got out early and- You know what thats not the point- What the hell is THAT?" She sqeaked as she pointed at Static. "And that?!" She said, pointing to the CorpseBloom.

Gavin didn't respond as he opened the gate and walked passed Static, and up to the snarling CorpseBloom. He tossed a chunk of meat at it and it scarffed it down.

Gavin smiled and turned back to Static, who's tail was flicking back and fourth rapidly, and April, who looked astonished that Gavin approached a snarling plant just like that.

"What?" Gavin asked.

"How did you-?" April stammered.

Static opened his Grimoire and flipped to the section on CorpseBlooms. The excerpt he focused on read 'CorpseBlooms will not eat living things until they flower.'

"How did you know? That it wouldn't attack you-?" Static asked as he stood up.

Gavin shrugged. "Doesn't matter. Static, this is April, my assistant." Gavin said as he pulled the blonde girl closer by the wrist. "April, this is Static. Our savior, you know, from the prophecy?"

April's eyes widend.

Static gave a nervous smile, revealing his sharp fangs.

April looked like she was about to scream. "I thought- I wha- I- That is the stupid thing you've been going phsyco about for the past year?!"

Gavin nodded. "Indeed. He arrived while you were away!"

April nodded. "Yeah. Okay. Well. You guys go, do your thing, I'm going to go, into the lab and- Y'know-" April said as she slowly backed away.

As April left the fenced in enclosure, and he turned back to the CorpseBloom, emptying the bag into its mouth.

The plant munched on the scraps. It grew taller, grew some leaves on its stem and soon the mouth that formed on the stem closed up and soon it flowered into a beautiful, dull colored, brown, stinky flower.

"What next?" Gavin asked.

"Well, we need to plant some more plants." Static replied as he pulled out his Grimoire.

"So, what did we even need the smelly thing for anyway?" Gavin asked, poking at the flower.

Static looked down at his Grimoire. "Well it says that the smell should attract a few spectre, and some other things. It'll kill them and turn them into CorpseSap."
