I’m a DAD! I just watched as each of them came out. I was in Awwww of it all that I didn’t notice something wasn’t right.

“Emma? EMMA?!”

My head snapped up and towards Emma who looked asleep.

“Emma?”

I walked towards her, but I was pushed aside.

“Trevor, you need to leave!”

“No, something’s wrong!”

“Get him out of here NOW!”

“Emma!”

All I could think of is that I lost her.

“Emma sweetheart wake up baby, wake up!”

“Trevor, stop, you’re not helping her, and you need to get out!”

Last thing I knew I was out and against the wall, praying to Xavier not to keep her.

EMMA’S POV

I felt so relaxed and I could smell the fresh cut grass.

“Baby wake up.”

I turned my head and opened my eyes to see Xavier. I gasped, sitting up and lunging myself at him.

“Oh Xavier!”

“Shhh… It’s alright love, I’m alright.”

“Why did you leave me?”

“I had to.”

I shook my head and started crying.

“No you didn’t, you didn’t fight for me.”

He squeezed me and then pulled away, looking down at me.

“I fought as much as I could, but I should have told you the truth.”

“Why did you lie to me?”

“Because I fell in love. I wasn’t supposed to, but I did. I tried to keep you to myself as much as I could, but in the end I couldn’t.”

“I don’t love him.”

“You haven’t given him a chance.”

“But it’s not the same, you’re different.”

I ran my hand down his cheek, I couldn’t believe it, he was here.

“It’s not the same.”

“It’s not supposed to be. Trevor loves you and he’s the one you belong with.”

“No, it’s not you!”

“Shhh… I know you’re confused, but I was never supposed to be yours. My faith was destined to be here, to protect you.”

“But I want you, only you.”

“What about Trevor?”

“I want you.”

I hugged him again.

“I want you, I love you, I want you, please come back to me.”

“Baby girl I can’t. This body is just that a body. You have to trust me, trust that I know what I’m telling you is what’s best for you. Trevor loves you very much, more than I could ever love you and that is why it was so easy for him to take over my wolf and heart.”

“No, he doesn’t.”

“Yes, he does, you know he does.”

He pushed away a little and wiped my tears.
