''Are you sure you're alright? I can drive too you know-..''

''Why is everyone so concerned about me.'' I huff annoyed as I start pumping the gas.

Sarah frowns. ''Maybe because you look like a gh-..''

The word gets cut in her throat, as she quickly recomposes herself.

''You look tired.'' She rephrases.

I roll my eyes, I was already annoyed due to the exhaustion. My stomach grumbles, only adding to my discomfort.

When I don't respond to Sarah, she walks closer to me.

''Look I get you want to get there as soon as possible, but you need your energy to fight-..''

''I have enough energy to fight.'' I snarl, cutting her off as I put the fuel dispenser back in its holder.

As I turn around to face her again, she is still glaring at me. I sigh.

''Look Sarah, we need to get there as soon as possible-...''

''Before the Lieutenant finds out?'' Sarah says, cocking an eyebrow.

''Yes.'' I say sternly. ''He will not hesitate to come after us, and I really want to avoid his mingling.''

''I can't believe youre so set on doing this yourself! You know how dangerous they are.'' Sarah snaps, her temper rising long with mine. ''We could use the help!''

''I don't need. Help.'' I snarl back as I walk right up in her face.

Sarah's eyes widen, but she isn't backing down.

''You're only saying that because you're mad.''

''Mad!?'' I scoff, as I place my hands on my hips. ''That's an understatement. They betrayed us Sarah! And you don't seem like to care at all!''

''I just seems like a huge misunderstanding-...''

''Save it.'' I snarl harshly. Our back and forth reaching its boiling point.

''I know him.'' I growl. ''He deliberately withheld this information from us. He clearly doesn't trust us so I am not trusting him. He wants to control our every move. Well, not anymore.''

I hear Atlas' door open, as he walks towards us. He frowns, obviously overhearing most of our heated conversation.

''Sarah is right though y/n.'' He says calmly, trying to diffuse the situation. ''141 has done alot for us. They made a mistake sure, but we will need them on this dangerous mission-...''

''We don't need ANYONE.'' I yell. I feel my body shaking with anger and anticipation.
''We did this before, and we will do it again.'' I declare, gritting my teeth.

''Never without Four though.'' Sarah mutters solemnly. I whirl as I hear his name.

''And that's thanks to Night.'' I bite. ''Reason enough why we should be the one to take them down.''

But then Atlas' expression darkens as his hand shoots towards my upper arm, grabbing it firmly.

''Y/n.'' His piercing stare makes my lips tighten. I rarely see him angry like this.

His voice is low as he speaks.

''You're acting reckless. Your emotions get the better of you... We just want the best for you. For us. For this mission to be successful. Please, just listen to us. Were your family..''

I'm on the verge of snapping again when my vision suddenly blurs. My heart thumping in my chest as a ringing sounds in my ears. The intense argument has pushed me past my limit, and I feel my legs give way beneath me. Sarah's voice sounds distant, calling my name as I collapse into Atlas's arms. My breath comes in ragged gasps, cold sweat dripping down my back as my eyes begin to close. Atlas curses, hooking an arm under my armpits. "That's enough," he mutters, and I feel myself surrendering to the pull of darkness.
