Chapter 1

I ignored him and continued walking towards my bathroom to freshen up myself.

Why suddenly I request to be transferred to that specific department he says, that simple, to find a clue. For 15 years, I've been studying and practice my martial arts like crazy for this only purpose. That is to find a clue about my twin's whereabouts.

Everyone said that I was crazy for being obsessed with looking for my twins; they said that I needed to give up on searching for him. He probably did not survive, even my Dad opposed my decision to enter the Police Force. Although, he is a high-ranking police officer himself.

Stop looking for my twins whereabouts? Forget about him? Move on with my life? While I can still feels him? He's still alive, I never doubt that. You can say, twins intuitions. I can feel him, I know he's somewhere out there. That's  why I need to find him, no matter what people say about it, even from my own parents. I will definitely find him.

After eating breakfast, me and Satang get ready to go to our work place.

I forgot to introduce myself, my name is Phuwintang Vihokratana. I'm 25 years old and a police officer. Today, I will be transferred into a new department. Department that specifically handles special cases that are related or connected to the mafia syndicates. This department is called Phra Khrut Pha Special Elite Team, or for shortened 'The GARUDA' Elite Team.

Only selective officers that can enter this department, they possess special ability and don't have any fear. Because they are dealing with the demon of the underworld, the mafia syndicates of Thailand that are known to be organized, ruthless, secretive, meticulous, and dangerous.

There's almost no information regarding the mafia syndicates here in Thailand, it's so rare. Mostly we're known about mafia syndicates are Cosa Nostra (Italian American Mafia), The Triad (Chinese Mafia) and Yakuza (Japanese Mafia). These are the most well-known mafia syndicates in the world. But, in Thailand, these Mafia Syndicates are most secretive and organized. They cover their underground movements with huge, famous, and public business companies as the front face. It's hard to trace their crime. No one knows what their syndicates called, but for sure, there are 2 biggest mafia Clans in Thailand.

That's why I need to enter this department and gather as many clues as I can get, because I know, these dangerous mafia syndicates are connected with the kidnapping case that cost me losing my twins.

''Seriously, Phu, why this department? Aren't you not loving your life?'' Satan complained but I knew he was just worried about me.

Satang has been my best friend since junior high school, he knew everything that happened in my life. He knew about my childhood trauma. He is also a police officer from the Crime Department. The reason why he is joining the Police Force is because he wants to be with his boyfriend who happens to be his mentor and the Crime Department's Captain. 

''You know why,'' I said

Satang sighed, ''Just don't do anything reckless na,'' he said

I just shrugged.

''This morning, aside from you being so extra grumpy and sweating a lot, is it related to your trauma?'' Satang asked, ''I heard you screaming 'GEM!', is that your twins name?'' he continue

''yeah, it's been so long since I had that nightmare,'' I answered,

Satang then patted my back, ''Like I said, don't be reckless and value your life first because I know how stubborn you can be if anything related to your twins,''

I just smile.

''Man, it's so rare for that department to accept a sudden transfer recruitment,''  he said

''Well, I obtain information that they can't resist letting go and also, I have an ability that can be useful for them,'' I said confidently

''My boyfriend was devastated when you decided to transfer to that department, he was complaining that our department was losing the golden goose!'' Satang said being a dramatic person he is, I just chuckled in response.

As we arrived at the Bangkok Police Headquarters, we parted away to our department. I immediately walked to my new department. It was a lie if I'm not feeling nervous, but I already made up my mind. This is the only way I could get close to that Mafia Syndicates, close to getting a new clue about Gemini's whereabouts.

I want the nightmare over.
