Chase shook him roughly, "ANTI, WAKE UP!"

Anti spazzed and gasped, looking around wildly, "WHAT!? WHAT'S GOING ON!?"

"We gotta get out of here! My landlord is walking up to the door!"

Anti just stared at him and blinked, "Landlord?"

Chase was still panicking, "Yes! The landlord! He's seen the news and he already knows I'm a murderer! Not to mention I'm not supposed to be here since this place is being EVICTED! We gotta leave NOW!"

Anti looked over at the door.

The door handle was jiggling.

"I could just kill him"

Chase swat him upside the head, "NO!"

"I was joking. .  sort of. Yeah, nevermind. But I can't really move a lot right now with a hole in my leg, Chase." he thought for a moment and came up with something, "Okay. . . .I got an idea. Keep quiet."

Chase swallowed and watched as Anti closed his eyes.

Suddenly, Chase could hear a phone ringing.

It was the landlord's on the other side of the door!

"Hello?" he answered it, "Who is this?"

Anti spoke but sounded like a different person, "Yes, hello! Is this Arty?"

"Uh . .. yes?"

"Hello Arty. This is . . . Jack from Brighton Credit Services. I'm calling to let you know that your account has been frozen and you have my fraudulent purchases made on your credit card it seems. We'll need you to come down immediately to verify your account and purchases"

"Oh my god! Really!? Are you serious!? I'm in the middle of something right now!"

"I'm sorry to hear that, Arty, but we can't do anything over the phone on our end. You'll have to verify in person immediately."

"Dammit. . . . alright. I'll be down soon"

"Thank you for choosing Brighton Credit Services and have a wonderful rest of your day. Bye"

Anti opened his eyes again.

Chase stared at him and glanced over at the door, no longer hearing any jiggling.

He ran back into the kitchen to look outside, seeing the landlord practically running back to his car.

Chase sighed, "Oh damn . . . . thank goodness, that stopped him for a while." he went back into the living room, "Thanks, man. Didn't know you could do that"

"I can still do a lot of things you don't know about"

Chase blinked, "Okay . . . . .How long do you think that'll deter him for?"

Anti shrugged, "Probably a day. He might try again tonight"

Chase bit his lips, "Damn . . . we're gonna have to get out of here, then, huh?"

Anti's stomach started growling.

And then so did Chase's.

Chase snorted, "How about we eat some lunch first?"

Jackie sat on a roof of a building, listening in and waiting for something to happen.

He hadn't heard anything more on Chase and/or Anti since the previous night which he found disconcerting.

'Both my ideas for trying to find them didn't pan out' Jackie sighed, 'I feel like such a failure. The doc was right about me'

Of course he felt awful. It was all his fault Anti was freed to begin with.

He scrolled through his phone, looking absentmindedly at cat videos or news posts.

Until suddenly, a new notification went off on his phone!

'A delivery. And it's not too far away, either.'

He thought about it, 'I do need the money and we really have no idea when we'll see Chase or Anti again.'

Whatever the case, if he wanted it, he needed to accept it now before someone else did.

Quickly coming to a decision, Jackie accepted the delivery request.

"Let's see. . . . order from McDonald's, huh? That's not too far from here."

Without another thought, Jackie took off as fast as he could to the fast food place.

Of course when he got there, he had to wait. He arrived quicker than they could make the order.

But finally, it was ready and Jackie sort of gawked at how much food there was, 'Geez, is there a party or something?'

But he wouldn't judge. Maybe he'd get a good tip and rating if he was fast.

Not five minutes later, he found the address and walked up to the door, 'Huh . . . not a bad little place. Doesn't look like a lot of cars around though. Did they really order all this food for themselves?'

He shook his head and knocked on the door.

It wasn't his business.

The door opened.

There was a pause.

Jackie gaped at him and gasped out in complete shock, "Ch . . . . CHASE BRODY!?"
