Cubby for Creators is a Discord server for new writers struggling to get their first foot in the door. We have a small community that will surely make you feel welcome as soon as you enter, and lots of helpful channels you can get familiar with and find useful.
This server can be used to promote your stories to other writers and readers, or to discuss little obstacles you find yourself stuck at. Let your writer's block be pushed away with simple, weekly writing challenges and by gaining inspiration from other creators.
In reaching a certain level and requirement, each author gets their own Cubby, which allows them their own focused channel for discussing their projects and special interests.
Every Friday we host a movie night, which is a great way for members to come together and interact over a common subject. All members can suggest movies, and even new ideas for the server as a whole.
Alongside these, we have a partnership programme. This is where we partner with other discord servers to promote one another and widen our communities together.
Our main partner is currently a branch of CfC resources, which offers authors the chance to get their stories proofread, edited, or receive detailed feedback - this can be hard or gentle, depending on your preferences. You can also create or request book covers.
Editors, proofreaders, feedbackers and artists get stars, these will be added to your roles so that everyone can keep track of how many stars you have. It is to be determined what these stars can be used for, but it is primarily to show how reliable you are in doing the job.
