A man hollowed by the wreckage of love and the slow unraveling of family ties. Once full of promise, he now drifts through life like smoke in an empty ballroom - a quiet figure exiled from joy by wounds too deep to name. In place of connection, he has built a world of elegant solitude, where silence is his closest companion and memory, his most persistent ghost. JUNGKOOK is not merely alone - he has chosen loneliness, crafting it like a suit he wears to shield himself from the world that once broke him.

I was thirty-five when she asked me.

A soft Saturday morning filtered through the blinds, the kind that feels like a pause in the world. My daughter sat on the rug with her knees tucked beneath her, flipping through the old pages of a diary she wasn’t meant to find- but I didn’t stop her.

Maybe she was looking for something. Maybe she didn’t know what.

She looked up at me, curiosity blooming in her eyes like something sacred.

"What is it?" I asked, closing my laptop slowly.

She hesitated, then shifted up beside me on the sofa, the diary still in her hands. "Mom," she said, her voice a question dressed in innocence, "haven’t you written it?"

I blinked. "Written what?"

Her brows pinched in that small, stubborn way that always reminded me of someone else. "How you met Dad."

I smiled, too caught off guard to say much.

And then- from downstairs, his voice, calling for her. Warm. Steady.

She lit up. I ruffled her two little braids and said, "I’ll tell you later, darling. Time for school."

She kissed my cheek and ran. Out the door. Toward the man who waits for her every morning like clockwork, his briefcase in one hand and his heart in the other.

I sat there.

Still.

And then I laughed.

Quietly. The kind of laugh that pulls from someplace deep.

Today, after all these years, my daughter asked how I met her father- and I didn’t know where to begin.

Not because I’ve forgotten.

But because it’s a story that still holds weight in my chest.

It wasn’t a fairytale. It wasn’t a perfect beginning.

But it was ours.

And now, maybe it’s time she knew it.

I reached for a pen.

Opened a fresh page.

And began to write.

An unexpected journey united two strangers whose hearts were never meant to meet - yet couldn’t help but collide.

She arrived in a new world chasing the shadow of someone lost - a name, a face, a promise. But what she found was not the one she had come for. Instead, she discovered a soul as fractured as her own.

He had long stopped believing in connection, his heart dulled by disappointment, love reduced to a myth whispered through cigarette smoke and late-night silence.

Neither of them was looking to be found. And yet, in each other, they stumbled upon the one thing they never dared hope for: healing.

Two broken hearts, stitched back together by the quiet, unspoken grace of unexpected love.
