Leaning out of the frame of the door I looked around for some sign of the person who rang the doorbell and left this for me, but nothing.

Nobody was there.

So doing the only rational thing I picked up the envelope that was still sat almost tauntingly on the porch matt and stepped back over the threshold shutting the door firmly behind me.

*End of flashback*

God I could remember the pain I felt reading that unfamiliar cursive writing each word like a little knife in my heart.

‘Remember me’

It hurt to think that I’d missed that much. That me being away like I have been has changed her life.

I completely underestimated her, and how much she needed me. I just dismissed her like she was nothing.

The love between us used to be unconditional ;irreplaceable, but I just forgot her and now she’s broken.

Now she needs me.

More than she’s ever needed me before.

And I can’t do a thing to help her.

Because I can’t control cancer.

Louis POV

‘DAMN I FEEL LIKE A WOMAN’ Harry’s voice screamed through my sleep filled mind state. Raising my head and peering around my room I couldn’t see the familiar mop of curls that normally woke me up with a cup of Yorkshire tea and a hug in the morning.

Groggily I swung my legs out of bed and reached a hand up to my hair attempting to flatten the mess that I’d woken up too. Grabbing my grey Aeropostale joggers from the end of my bed I slipped them on and headed to my bedroom door. Almost as soon as I reached the door a light caught my attention from the corner of my eye. It was my phone screen flashing an image of me and harry indicating that I had a new message.

Picking up my phone I smiled at his pre-recorded text tone.

Damn we love that song. Softly humming to myself I slide my thumb across the screen and click on Harry’s message, It read:

‘TODAY’S THE DAY! :D’

I laughed softly to myself before shaking my head at my best friend’s stupidity and slipping my phone back into my pocket. Walking out into the hall I was hit with the smell of sizzling bacon and instantly heard my stomach rumble.

‘Smells good Hazz!’ I called out knowing that only he could make something smell that nice, and presuming that the rest of the lads were still asleep in bed getting the much needed rest that I so deeply craved. I walked down the stairs heading straight for the kitchen already led by my stomach.

Josh’s POV

I was walking down the ever familiar alley way. Feeling the mist come closer, beckoning me to it. I wanted to stop walking as I could feel the dread seep through my body as I realised that I knew what would happen next. My legs refused to stop walking as I continued to follow the grimy, dirty brick walls. I could feel the air becoming colder as the mist intensified, flooding into every nook and crany of the alley.

Suddenly I heard a scream, and everything around me changed.

The mist fell and instantly everything went dark.

‘SHIT’

Abruptly I jolted awake, and looked around for the source of noise in astonishment.

Seeing nothing but the familiar white walls of my bedroom, I let out a deep sigh and rolled over to the cold side of my double bed cursing my overactive imagination. Trying to pretend that the curse didn’t just scare the utter crap out of me, by making me think someone was actually in the house I shut my eyes and attempted to get back to sleep.
