Josh’s POV

‘Josh’ she sighed into the phone. But that was it I was fed up with all the bullshit.

‘Whatever, you know I’m actually completely past caring now’ I stated angrily into the phone. Listening to the shocked silence on the other end I suddenly lost my cool and threw my Iphone at the wall not even giving a second thought to the fact that the screen most likely had smashed.

God. I squeezed my eyes shut in frustration. I felt the familiar ebb of a migraine coming on so I strolled out my room and into the bathroom. Staring into the mirror, it was like it was the first time I had ever seen myself. Like I was stripped back, and I could see the person I had truly become.

I realised how stupid I was being.

What the hell? Why am I getting worked up about this? My problems are fucking nothing compared to some people’s and without warning I began to feel like one of those attention seeking whores they have at that shitty posh school of mine.

Taking a deep breath I splashed cold water on my face to clear my thoughts and stepped out of my bathroom and down the stairs of our relatively big house.

The walls were all shades of white or cream with wood furniture. There were no pictures on the walls. Nothing to make you think any young person lived here let alone a 15 year old messy teenager. No that was in my room. My mum, the women I barely saw confined my messiness to my room and refuses to let me ruin her ‘vision’.

She practically lives interior design that woman gosh she infuriates me sometimes. She works 14 hours a day and I’m lucky if I see her once a day. That leaves me pretty much free rein to do whatever I want, but honestly I don’t take advantage.

Much.

Continuing on down the long marble hallway I reached the pristine white door and yanked it open with a lot more force than necessary. Pulling it shut behind me I let out an involuntary shiver as I started walking in the cold instantly realising that I should have picked up my 30 seconds to mars hoddie. For God’s sake it was just sat on the coat rack next to the door.  I simply groaned in frustration and just started walking without even realising where I was headed.

After a few minutes lost in my thoughts I noticed where my feet had decided to take me…

The Lake.

Of course, where else do I go when I need to clear my head? I swear it was just a reflex reaction now the lake was practically my second home.

Harry’s POV

‘Guys I’m boreddddd’ Louis moaned for the 10th time that minute as the rest of us groaned. You would have never guessed that he was the oldest of us all. ‘Louis shut up’ I said finally breaking my intense gaze on the door Britt had disappeared through minutes before. I don’t know what it was but there was something fishy about the way that she tried to push us away when we neared her house. Like she didn’t want us to see something? What was she hiding?

So us being the reasonable lads that we were followed her like some sort of stalker gang and have now been staring at her house for over 20 minutes waiting for some kind of sign of life from within the house. But so far?

Nothing.

Odd. What had happened to her?

I sighed and took a deep breath before addressing the lads. ‘Guys how do we know she’s home?’ Judging by the crazy looks I received from the rest of the lads that probably wasn’t the smartest thing to say but ignoring the looks they gave me I continued on. ‘Maybe she left already?’
