HEY GUYS! I really wanted to get to a certain part for this story so I decided to just go ahead and write this next chapter. It might be longer than the other two, but it's because this one leads to the good stuff. Hehehe xD

I hope you all enjoy! ♥

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The week went by rather quickly, and before I knew it, it was already Friday morning; and I would be lying if I said I wasn't happy that the weekend had finally arrived. I mean, it's not like it was a bad week or anything, it's just that no one even bothered to get acquainted with me. Not even when it came to discussing an assignment for class. Was I really that much of a bad person to approach?
But I always pushed that thought aside whenever I was left sitting on my own in my now usual spot in the library or in my classes. I really did want to make this year a memorable one, but everyone didn't seem to want to give me the chance to make it happen. So instead, I was left to myself in my hollow shell that I grew comfortable with over the years.
As I made my way to homeroom, I couldn't help but notice how many of the students were chatting with each other consistently about some party that was probably happening this weekend. I guess that's something I wasn't attending.
I finally entered the classroom after practically being bombarded by high school teenagers who seemed to be a little too animated for the early morning. I wasn't at all a morning person but I always tried my best not to show it; and seeing all of them with grinning faces as they talked more about this party didn't help my situation whatsoever.
I sat down in my seat, pulling out my notebook for this class and doodling absentmindedly around the cover. I didn't exactly know what I was drawing, but it seemed like it was just a bunch of squiggly lines if you asked me. It wasn't until I heard the sound of a female's high pitch voice that I became intrigued in the conversation that was starting to occur just a few seats behind me. I recognized the voice instantly. Her name was Claudia and she had to be one of the most stuck up seniors I have ever encountered in this school. Thankfully, I only had her for this class and she never even dared to come up to talk to me; but she still always managed to give me harsh glares whenever I walked down the hallway. Why? I had no clue.
"So....are you excited for tonight, Marcus?" she asked my savior who sat next to her. Ah, so that was his name. Yes, within this entire week of me attending this school, I never even dared to listen in for his name. It didn't even matter anyway.
"Yeah, I guess. More like nervous if you ask me."
There were a few bits of laughter from the other students sitting around him. I couldn't help but wonder if he was the one throwing the party that everyone around the school seemed to be talking about. He did seem to be Mr. Popular, but I never once noticed if he was in some sport here. He was fit to perfection and it seemed as if he did some extracurricular activity, but I never saw him staying after school for any sort of practice. Instead, he would always be standing in the parking lot with a whole mess of people surrounding him, particularly girls. I know, I sound like a stalker but it was a little bit hard not to observe these things since there always appeared to be an eager crowd surrounding him within every hour of the day.
"So who do you think is your mate? Do you think she's part of this pack or do you have to travel to another one?" Claudia asked him, her voice sounding a little higher than usual.
Mate? Pack? What the hell were they talking about?
My eyebrows pulled together as I tried to decipher the meaning in her words; but I wound up with nothing. Instead of giving myself a headache, which was already starting to occur on my right side, I just went on with mindless doodling and continued to eavesdrop on their conversation. It might have seemed rude, but they were talking loud enough that practically the whole school could hear!
