Chaewon had changed into a simple skirt and a cropped top with a fluffy jacket over it. The glasses perched on her nose made her look way cuter than she needed to; Yunjin had to stop herself from staring.
The past week felt complicated. Yunjin was worried for her girlfriend, but she also felt ashamed and upset because of the bigger picture. She knew she had no control over Chaewon's life, and the things she wanted to tell the others. And she didn't expect her to tell them everything, but she hadn't expected her to lie either.
Though above all else, she loved Kim Chaewon more than anything. So she'd stay by her side, no matter what.
"See? I told you they were fine." Kazuha said as she finished tying up Sakura's hair.
Chaewon halted right in front of her girlfriend. She let go of Eunchae's waist, and the young girl sped to safety with her other Unnies.
The way she looked up at her made Yunjin feel like she's done something wrong. There was a slight curve to her brows and her dark eyes stared right into hers. The younger girl cleared her throat.
"Did you think I planned to murder our Maknae, Jennifer?" Chaewon asked.
Yunjin quickly shook her head. "No! No, I was just–",
The shorter girl stepped impossibly closer, fluttering her eyelashes. This was just unfair.
Heaving a sigh, Yunjin shook her head. She snaked her arms around Chaewon's waist and placed a gentle kiss on her hair. "I was worried about– Kim Chaewon, is that lipstick?" She gasped.
The girl's cheeks turned crimson. She quickly wiped her cheek, mumbling to herself.
"Have you been cheating on me? Eunchae, who captured my princess's heart?" Yunjin dramatically asked, earning a playful punch from Chaewon.
Eunchae stared at the floor. "I was the one." She whispered, pretending to look guilty.
"My own blood..." Yunjin clicked her tongue disapprovingly. She glanced down at her girlfriend, who placed a hand on her cheek.
"Like I'd ever want someone else," She hummed softly.
The younger girl's cheeks went pink. "Such a sweet talker," She sighed as she leaned down. She placed her lips on Chaewon's, capturing the taste of her cola chapstick as she kissed her.
The other chuckled into the kiss, pulling away before they'd become an eyesore to their members. "What's the time?" She asked.
"Four. We start early tomorrow, by the way. We only stopped sooner because they had to set up the rotating thing. Have you been sleepwalking this entire time?" Sakura narrowed her eyes.
Chaewon flushed. "No I– I just zoned out for a bit," She mumbled.
Yunjin pecked her girlfriend's lips once more before wiping the rest of the lipstick smudge off her cheek. "Let's go on a date. We'll raid the grocery store, get wine and throwaway cups and we'll go to the lake," She quietly suggested.
The girl in front of her bit her lip. "What about the others?" She asked.
"Guys, we'll be gone for the night." Yunjin called over her shoulder.
"Yep, sounds fine." Sakura nodded.
"Don't buy more books to bring home, please." Kazuha begged.
Eunchae nodded in agreement. "Yeah, I'm tired of you leaving them all over the dorms."
"We're in America, as if I can even bring a million books back home!" Yunjin protested. "And we're not buying books."
Chaewon chuckled. "Alright then, I'll let you take me on a date. Only because you're soooo pretty~," She grinned, peppering her girlfriend's face with kisses.
