I start walking away from her. The fog is still thick and confusing to navigate as before, but as long as I get away from here, I'll be just fine.

Plus, like before, un-possessing people is much easier.

I gasp in surprise as I regain control. That simultaneously felt like 5 minutes and 5 years. I quickly look around me and take in my surroundings.

There's another harsh shake. I quickly look over to see the portal here is closed, but the one to the cursed realm is still open. The Preeminent is gone which is a good thing. I don't see any other ghosts around which means this one is left open for Moro.

I turn to face him as I try and keep my balance, "what's happening? The Preeminent is gone. Why is there still earthquakes?"

"Because the portals being open is causing all kinds of issues. We need to act fast." Ronin replies. He turns and gives Moro a bored stare, "spill it. What'd you learn?"

Moro looks at me with a strange expression.

"I was right, wasn't I?" I ask

Moro nods, "yes, you were. And Darkness had a message for you."

I scoff and roll my eyes, "of fucking course she does. What did she say?"

"That she's gonna make sure you have a lot of trouble putting her back where she came from and keeping her there."

"Typical." I say and then groan, "this is just peachy. Also ridiculous she would think that because I am literally in control and have been for months."

Moro shrugs, "probably just blowing smoke."

"So, kid's theory was correct?"

He nod.

"The only thing that doesn't add up in the legend is how the original fights to keep the balance actually happened. It makes it seem like there's always been a balance, but that can't be the case if she came from another realm."

"I actually have the answer to that thanks to Darkness' labyrinth of memories." Moro interjects, "see when the First Spinjitzu Master was creating Ninjago, it was causing a bunch of rifts between the realms. Unintentional of course. Probably didn't even realize he was doing it. Darkness was sucked up in one of these rifts and it closed behind her so she couldn't get back. That's when the whole thing with balance of light and dark became a thing."

"Wait a minute." Ronin says, "you said that things from other realms cause a whole bunch of trouble. Darkness has been here for a helluva long time now. How come there weren't any drastic consequences with her being here before? Shouldn't we have seen the signs?"

I snort, "creating two wars wasn't drastic enough for you?"

He scoffs, "I meant for the realms. These portals have been open for a few hours and we have constant earth quakes. Even the way they were leaking into each other was bad, like people turning into ghosts and stuff. But Darkness didn't drag stuff from her realm."

"Just her dark energy." Moro answers, "it must have something to do with her loosing her form and being scattered around Ninjago. She, in a sense, became apart of your realm for many years."
