It was now time for the final exam to begin and after devising a solid plan, your team of 3 felt ready for the battle ahead. Ectoplasm had explained all the specific rules he allowed for the final and showed where the exit gate was located before the start.
Once back to the start, you stood and waited for the timer to buzz while getting used to your surroundings. You stood next to Tsu who was crouched on the floor, as you looked at her you decided against starting with your skates on. You were excited for the exam and wanted to use everything you'd learned so far, including the flight you had been practicing since your work study.
The buzzer went off and the 3 of you were immediately swarmed by clones of your teacher.
"Oh I also forgot to mention... we teachers will not be going easy on you, so prepare to receive everything we've got." One of his clones says sternly
Ectoplasms clones began crashing in, immediately triggering your eyes and hands to glow out of instinct; you created a large neon shield around yourself and your teammates. You began to expand the force fields size and disintegrated a few of the clones closest to you, causing many to jump away in avoidance.
"Dark shadow grab Tsuyu!" Tokoyami shouted as the shadow quirk wrapped itself around the frog girl, tossing her into the air.
"Tokoyami!" Tsu shouted as she wrapped her tongue around the boy and tossed him to the floor above them.
"(Y/n), you're up!" Tsu shouted down as you nodded up at her. In an instant you jumped into the air and activated your quirk in your feet, boosting yourself up to your team's level while hanging off the side of the railing
"I think I nailed about 3 in that initial hit... that leaves... 27 left right?" You turned to the 2 as they both nodded in reply.
"Great let's keep moving!" You shouted as you jumped up and over the rail and started running. You glance back at your team to make sure you weren't leaving them behind when you spot a few clones running up behind Tokoyami.
"Tokoyami, behind you!" You gasp and turn getting ready to shoot the clone only for Tsu to smack her tongue against one, causing it to disappear.
"Sorry about that- Dark Shadow go!" He calls out to Dark Shadow who slashed two more clones.
"That's 3 more! We're down to 24!" The bird boy announced
"It feels like there's no end to them!" Tsu added while you ran
A few seconds later you all arrive at a corredor that leads to a larger room containing the main entrance of the building and your escape route. Before stepping foot into to hallway roughly a dozen clones of your teacher popped up from the ground, all staring at you.
"I got this! Just cover me from behind" You yelled and took a runners stance while clicking your skates on for the first time that match. You took a deep breath and closed your eyes, opening them to reveal the bright glow of your dual colored eyes.
In the blink of an eye you were skating along the walls at a near invisible speed, landing repetitive charged blasts against the clones lining the hall. To your teammates you appeared as a trailing light of neon pinks and purples, while you eliminated enemy after enemy clearing the path.
As you flashed through all the copies of your teacher you made sure to keep count as you hit them one by one, counting 14 total. In a matter of seconds you dispose of the remaining copies and wipe some of the sweat off your forehead with a huff.
"All done!" You smile and wave from the end of the hall as Tsu and Tokoyami run towards you.
"Good work (Y/n), you cleared them out in seconds" Tsu smiled at you in awe
"Yeah, I think I hit 14 if I counted right? That leaves 10 more that Ectoplasm can create right?" You asked
"Correct, he can only generate 30 at a time so we are in a strong path." Tokoyami added.
"Then let's keep moving" you said with determination as your team ran into the next room.
"Guys look down there," Tsu says
"I see him," Tokoyami nodded
"Bullseye" you added playfully
"My guess is that's his real body by the exit." Tsu noted
Suddenly your discussion and analysis was cut off as Ectoplasm laughed at the 3 of you,
"I applaud you for making it past my clones, but your real challenge starts now!" He shouts as a giant Ectoplasm clone appears rising from the ground.
"Dodge!" Tokoyami yelled
"Look out!" You shouted at the same time
Somehow you managed to zip out from the attack and snuck around behind him. Tsu and Tokoyami on the other hand were stuck in the clones plasm.
"(L/n)! You have to make it through the exit!" Tsu yelled as Tokoyami send Dark Shadow to distract the pro hero.
"Not gonna happen, I'm not leaving you guys behind!" You declared as your team nodded at you in appreciation.
You were now in a two on one fight with Dark Shadow and Ectoplasm as you flew around firing off neon bursts and other attacks. You had to stay aware of your distance to Dark Shadow when using your attacks due to how bright your quirk could be. Eventually Dark Shadow was called back up to Tokoyami and Tsu while you continued to fight and shield yourself more effectively.
You knew they had come up with a plan and you trusted their judgment. 'If I'm remembering correctly, Tsuyu had mentioned something about swallowing and regurgitating the cuffs needed to capture the Mr Ectoplasm. I wonder if this has something to do with it' you thought as you created a bubble shield, causing your eyes to glow brighter than before.
It seemed as if the more you used your power the brighter your quirk became. Using this to your advantage, you managed to quickly flash bang the teacher as Dark Shadow tossed the cuffs towards you. Just as you were about to wrap the cuff around your teachers leg, you felt a harsh kick to your ribs. You flew back and landed against the stone wall harshly, sliding down as you rubbed your head. At this point you realized the cuffs were no longer in your hands but instead laying behind the teacher on the ground.
"A smart tactic but too predictable." He said and walked towards you. You coughed and sat up with a smirk,
"Predicable? Sure maybe I was... but did you predict this? TOKOYAMI NOW!!!" You yelled out as your teacher snapped his head in the other direction. Dark Shadow was behind him immediately, causing Ectoplasm to raise a high kick in the shadows direction. Dark shadow dodged and quickly slapped the cuff onto the leg Ectoplasm had used to try and kick him.
It was silent for a brief moment before Ectoplasm spoke.
"I see... well done you three." He congratulated. Once he released Tsu and Tokoyami, he went to check on you as some robots came to take you back to recovery girl.
"I apologize for the force used. You put up a very good fight and have a strong sense of battle strategy." He said as you smiled in thanks getting rolled away.
"Asui, Tokoyami and (L/n) have passed the exam!"
