PROLOGUE - CAST

"SO IS IT A KINK OF YOURS?" THE WOMAN ASKED AS SHE CROSSED HER ARMS AT  THE MAN FROM ACROSS THE TABLE.

"I'm sorry?" He paused not sure if he had heard her correctly.

"I don't mean to be so blunt. I was just asking if dating first responders was a kink of yours. Considering all of your exes you told me about."

John gave her an expression that read flabbergasted. As he began to think of their date as possibly the most interesting one he had been on.

"I don't-"

She interrupted him again. "I'm sorry, I am not normally like this. I mean I'm worse if you want the honest truth. Probably the reason why I haven't been on a date in like four years."

She paused feeling as if she was rambling on for too long.

"Look, I know this probably isn't the date you expected or want to continue, but I promise I have normal questions to ask. Like, what's your favorite color?"

She paused as he broke out into laughter before she did the same. Facepalming at herself.

"I'm sorry." He spoke waving his hand as he smiled at her. "I'm pretty sure this is either a canon moment for the grandkids or you're about to murder me."

"Grandkids?  John slow your roll. We're only on the first date."
