She didn't seem to believe that. Yunjin always had a way of seeing right through the girl, and she hated it.
"Did I do something wrong?"
Chaewon's eyes widened. "Why would you think that?" She whispered. It truly felt like the most baffling thing to say: in her eyes, Huh Yunjin could never do anything wrong.
Yunjin gave a sort of shrug with one shoulder. "You don't usually try to sneak away in the morning. If I farted you could just tell me, you know."
The other slapped the taller girl's shoulder. "You had me thinking you were sad!"
"What if I am?" Yunjin dramatically said back.
"My best friend is leaving me just because of a fart! She doesn't care about me at all." She added with a fake-cry.
Chaewon scoffed, and rolled over to attempt to push her friend off the bed. Though she seemed to have forgotten that Yunjin was taller, stronger and sneakier. She managed to turn the roles right around, and pinned the short girl right in place.
Not being able to move her wrists or legs, Chaewon only had the option to admit defeat. But she was too busy trying to look at anything but Yunjin's face above her, and had completely forgotten how to speak.
Yunjin's eyes on her made her skin feel like it's burning. She started to wish she was six feet under without the hauntings of her gorgeous friend.
"I'm telling you, Yunjin's disappeared!" Chaewon heard from the hallway.
There was a moment of silence. "Are you dense? She's probably in Chae's room, Zuha."
"Oh, yeah, that makes more sense."
A few moments later, the door to Chaewon's room swung open. Yunjin released the girl in an instant, rolling over to her side again. She didn't know whether to thank the gods, or Kazuha.
The Japanese girl in the door frame had her arms crossed. She looked an awful lot like Sakura whenever she tried to look stern, though she could only hold it for half a minute at a time.
"You were supposed to be up half an hour ago," Kazuha spoke.
Yunjin propped herself up on her elbow in order to see the girl. "You thought I disappeared," She grinned.
The poor girl's ears went red as she shook her head. "That's– it's– sue me for caring about you!" She groaned, immediately dropping the stern act.
"I would've been there an hour ago if this one wasn't in hibernation." Chaewon said as she finally swung her legs over the side of her bed.
"And I would've been there an hour ago if this one didn't beg me to stay because of some thunder!" Yunjin snapped back.
Now it was Chaewon's turn to go red. "I– you– whatever!" She grumbled before rushing out of bed and storming out of the room.
"Love you too!" The short girl heard her best friend call from her room.
There was no one more annoying on earth than Huh Yunjin.
But there was also no one Chaewon would rather spend her time with than her best friend.
Sakura ended up making a quick and easy breakfast together with Eunchae. The girls all ate together, got dressed (all in their laziest clothes since they'd be dressed up for their stage anyway), and eventually got in the van on the way to the city.
Home was their only safe place. Away from the cameras, the people and only with each other. More than anything, Chaewon wished to be home right now.
Their performance on the music show went well. Everything seemed to work out perfectly until Chaewon got a text once she was backstage again.
