Hayes' POV

A FEW MONTHS LATER

Graduation was today. Can't wait. I can finally leave that hell hole.

Blaine insisted to miss school to come. I said no but Damon being Damon, told him he could come.

So instead of dropping Blaine off, he drove to the high school with us.

We got out and Blaine grabbed my hand and Damon's.

I saw Cora and Blaire and I waved them over.

They walked over here and smiled.

"Hey!" They said in unison.

Blaine dropped his head and covered his face.

"Who's this?" Cora asked.

"My brother, Blaine" I cocked a brow at the girl.

Blaine eyed her then looked back at the ground.

"Hey, hey kid. What are you doing?" She picked up his chin and eyed his face.

A soft smile played on her lips as she traced the scar.

"I've always wanted something like this." She said quietly to herself.

She shook her head and looked brightly up at me.

"He's adorable. I've got to get to my chair. C'mon Blaire. Hey! That's rhymes!" She smiled and headed off with a small wave.

The quiet girl that seemed to hang out with her a lot followed.

Damon and I walked Blaine to where guests sit then took our seats.

We paid attention to the other students, Damon's hand on my thigh.

I had heard that Damon requested to speak in front of everyone and I was on edge for his speech.

They called all of our names and gave us our diplomas.

Soon the principal gave a speech. Then Damon was called up.

He spoke a bit about his school experience, then called me up. My eyebrows furrowed but I stood and walked up to the stage.

Damon smiled at me.

"Hayes, I know we didn't have the best relationship in the beginning. And I know that it took you some time to warm up to me. But, Hayes Fairfield, I love you." He got down on one knee and pulled out a black velvet box.

"Hayes, will you marry me?" The question his my ears and my eyes widened. My heart began beating at the quickest pace ever and my face turned a bright red.

My eyes brimmed with tears and I nodded.

He stood up and hugged me, pulling me to him tightly.

"I love you so much, Hayes."

"I love you too."
