Before I can reply he already left

The following days went normally, following meliodas, keeping him out of trouble, and being told by meliodas that we're never getting married. Little does he know the demon king is already arranging the marriage, i can tell meliodas knows this because like he said, he's smarter than he shows...I already knew that...thats what i like about him.

But, everything is running smoothly with no attack's from different races or more specifically humans. Although...tonight is a bit different.

I make my way to meliodas room to make sure he's asleep and hasn't tried escaping through the window again. I don't even think to knock before walking in. I freeze, eyes widen, mouth agape, I've seen many things in my life, things one would think is impossible, but this?, this is impossible because

"W-what are you doing in here?! Have you ever heard of knocking! Get out.."

Meliodas yells at me through his tears and I can hear his voice cracking with each word

"I um just came to see if you were up and....are you okay?"

He scoffs and rolls his eyes before pulling his knees to his chest and shifting on his bed to turns his face away from me

"Right stupid question..."

I mumble to myself before speaking again

"What's wrong?"

He doesn't say anything or make any attempt to look at me either

"Do you...want to talk about it?"

Still nothing.

I sigh, quickly realizing that I'm not going to get a word out him, so instead a walks over to his bed and sit next to him

"I don't want to marry you..."

He finally says. I don't say anything but I look at him waiting to see if he says anything else which he does

"I want to marry someone I love, someone I know... someone I actually want to spend the rest of my life with"

He sighs still not looking at me.

A take a deep breath before speaking

"I can't have you're father call the weeding off"

He sighs pretty much hopeless at this point

He perks up a bit

"A ask him to postpone it so we can...get to know each other better...how does that sound?"
