...

Beomgyu laid next to Yeonjun fast asleep. He was covered in hickies but that was irrelevant, he was practically glowing as the sun started to come up and Yeonjun couldn't stop staring at him.

His phone rang and he reached over to answer it.

"Hello?"

"Good morning Junnie!"

"Hey mom, how are you and Iseul?"

"We are–"

"Hi papa!"

"Hi Iseul. Are you having fun?"

"Yeah!"

Beomgyu's mom laughed. "He's been dying to call you two. You sound like you're just waking up, did you stay up?"

"Uhh, well yeah I had some work to do."

"Is Beomgyu still sleeping too?"

"Yes he was...helping me with my work. We both had a bit of an all nighter so..." he voice drifted and his mom hummed.

"You two shouldn't work so hard. It's the weekend, try to relax more especially since you have some time o yourselves."

"You're right mom, today we will only relax."

Beomgyu stirred a little and groaned. "Who's on the phone?" He murmured.

"Your mom and Iseul."

"What?" He sat up as quickly as his tired body would let him. "Let me talk to Iseul."

Yeonjun handed him the phone. "Iseul?"

"It's your mother, let me call him back over."

"Hi mom, how is he?"

"He's perfect. Iseul, its your dad."

"Hi dad!"

"Hi baby! How are you? We miss you."

"I miss you too, I'm having fun with grandma. We did a puzzle and we are watching a movie and we are gonna go to the park today!"

"Oh that sounds like so much fun."

They talked for a little longer before Yeonjun and his mother interrupted the call.

"Baby let him go play." He whispered and took the phone.

"But–"

"Alright mom call us if you need anything."

"I will, bye sweetheart." They hung up and Yeonjun looked at Beomgyu.

"You're such a worrisome parent."

"It's my job to worry Yeonjun and I was wrapping up the call."

"No you weren't. He will be back before you know it, just relax with me for today."

"Okay...okay I can relax."

He laid back down and sighed. "It's the first time he's slept somewhere else. Soon he'll be hanging out with friends and driving and working and dating–"

"Gosh have you thought that far already?"

"I'm not ready for him to grow up Yeonjun. He's brought so much joy to our lives and the thought of him leaving one day–"

"Baby, please. Iseul is only 6, he's lived with us for more than a year. He has years before that happens and if you worry about the future stuff you're gonna miss him actually grow up. Iseul is still with us, he's still little, so don't think about those things just yet okay?"

"...you're right I'm sorry."

Yeonjun kissed his cheek. "You're so cute when you're worried."

Beomgyu giggled and looked at the time. "Let's wash up and start breakfast. I really need some coffee."

They pulled themselves out of bed and took a shower together which almost turned into part two of last night but Beomgyu elbowed him in the stomach and the moment was gone.

Yeonjun made coffee while he helped Beomgyu cook. They sat and made small talk over breakfast, holding hands over the table and laughing ever so often. They continued to sit there and simply talk even after they were done eating. Beomgyu loved that about them, how they didn't have to do much but simply being in each other's presence was enough for them.

They did eventually leave the table and go out for a walk around the neighborhood.

"Iseul said he wants a dog." Beomgyu said randomly. "He said it like a month ago."

"Oh? And what did you say?"

"That's I didn't know and I would talk to you."

"And what do you want to do?"

"Get him a dog."

"Baby he's 6, shouldn't we wait until he's a little older? You can tell him no, you tell me no all the time."

"It's different Iseul is cute and sweet."

Yeonjun gave him a look and Beomgyu laughed as he held onto his arm.

The day Iseul came back, Beomgyu almost cried. He wouldn't stop hugging him and Yeonjun had to pry him off. The little boy of course thought it was funny but he loved hugging his family.

...

"My mom reached out to me other day." Yeonjun said suddenly during a movie night.

Beomgyu looked at him and then paused it.

"And?"

"She asked about our relationship. I told her I was happy, that we were together and I told her about Iseul." Beomgyu watched him and waited. "...she shit on all of it. She thought getting back with you was a bad idea and having a child was even worse. She went on and on about how I would never be happy in the end."

"Baby I'm so sorry."

Yeonjun looked at him. "Don't be." He looked down at Iseul who was fast asleep in Yeonjun's lap. "Beomgyu I'm the luckiest man alive. I feel that everyday I wake up to you, every time Iseul calls me papa, even with little moments like this. I am filled with so much love from the two of you that nothing she says could ever effect me anymore. What happened with my mom sucked and I feel sorry that she continues to let the past keep her this way."

He took Beomgyu's hand and kissed his wedding band.

"I love you so much Beomgyu."

Beomgyu blushed and smiled at him. "And I love you so much Yeonjun."

The End.
