Ever since she was twelve, (Y/N) had liked Dipper .

Okay, maybe more like loved Dipper.

And ever since he was twelve, Dipper had liked (Y/N).

Okay, maybe more like loved (Y/N).

He thought of her every day and night, he couldn't get her out of his mind, especially after he'd left Gravity Falls on that fateful day. He had never told her. It was the biggest regret of his life. But finally, after three years, he was going to see her again.

(Y/N).

Her smile that brightened the room.

Her (h/l), (h/c) hair.

And the way she looked at him, the most loving expression he'd ever seen, the one that melted his heart and made him swoon.

(Y/N).

And this time, he was going to tell her, he was.

For sure.

"Dipper!" Mabel called to him, waving her hand in front of his face. "Earth to Dipping Sauce, do you copy?"

"M-Mabel!" he jumped.

"I've been trying to get your attention!" she was practically bouncing in her seat, almost as jittery as she was when she decided to make a caffeinated version of Mabel juice. He shuddered. That was NOT pretty. "Have you been thinking about a certain someone?" she asked, smirking.

"What? No! I was, um.... thinking about how excited I am to see, um, Grunkle Stan!"

"Alright then, keep your secrets." she replied. (btw, shoutout in the next chapter if you get the reference) "I can see right through you."

Dipper gulped. He wasn't too worried about Mabel knowing, it was the fact that she tended to share these pieces of information with others that concerned him.

"I-I... fine. I do like her, okay? Just please, for the love of all things holy, please don't tell anyone." he stuttered.

"HAH! I TOLD YOU! THE (Y/S/N) SAILS!" she squealed in delight, before Dipper's hand covered her mouth.

"Mabel, please shut up..."

She giggled. "Dip Dip, how can I NOT be excited! I've shipped you two for like, three years now!"

His face went red. "Three years...?"

"Ohmygosh, yes! I think when we get off, you should totally-"

"Gravity Falls! Stop 17!" the bus driver announced.

Seeing as they were the only ones left, the bus driver helped them retrieve their bags, and then slowly drove away. Dipper and Mabel slung on their backpacks and started walking, Mabel nonstop talking all about Candy and Grenda, the Grunkles, Gompers, how much fun she'd have with Wendy and Soos, and so on and so on; while Dipper pondered about (Y/N), if she liked him back and if she'd changed. Occasionally, he thought about The Stan Bros, or Wendy and Soos, but his mind kept wandering back to her.

Her.

And was that...?

No. It couldn't be.

But what if...

No, his eyes must be playing some joke on him, how would she know when they arrived? Surely she didn't care enough to look at the bus route...

But there she was.

(Y/N).

That beautiful girl with the kindest heart.

Running right toward him.

He looked behind him; she'd probably be running to some other guy.

No one.

She was getting closer now, he could see her (h/c) hair.

A sudden realization hit him. Me, she's running to me.

I want to run to her.

I need to run to her.

But his body had reacted quicker, his legs had already began moving, walking to her. He dropped his bags on the pavement and started to run.

Closer, and closer until they touched.

He and (Y/N) hugged, for what seemed like the longest time, until he finally pulled back to look at her.

"(Y/N)?" Tears of happiness were streaming down her face.

"It's me, (Y/N), and it's time for muffins." she replied, using the inside joke from all those summers ago.

He laughed, and hugged her again, tears brimming in his own eyes.

They hugged, and when they pulled back again, she said softly, "Dipper, I've really missed you."

"M-Me too." he said, beginning to cry.

He froze for a split second. This was his chance. The chance he'd been waiting for all these years. The chance to tell her how he felt.

"I-I need to tell you something." he froze. He didn't mean to say that, it just sort of... came out. Half of him wanted to mutter something and stare at the ground, but the other half wanted to tell her. He needed to tell her. Or show her, whatever he needed to do.

"What is it?"

"I-I-I, well, um, it's..." he took a deep breath and leaned down.

And he kissed her.

Amazingly, she kissed back, and they stayed that way for what seemed like hours, Dipper's heart beating crazily. When they finally broke away, Dipper immediately spoke.

"I'm sorry, I don't know what came over me, I've wanted to do that for so long, but it wasn't-"

"Dipper." she intertwined their fingers together. "That was perfect."

He couldn't believe his ears. "I-It was?"

"Yeah. You're a pretty good kisser, you know that?" she replied, smiling.

"I just can't beli-"

"Sweet Lord! What is happening!" the gravely, deep voice of Grunkle Stan said, in disbelief.

"Stan!" Ford hissed, trying not to ruin their moment. "Can't you see they're having a private moment?"

"Moment, shmoe-ment, what's going on?"

Soos excitedly grinned. "Mr. Pines, the ship has been confirmed!"

Stan looked confused. "What is it with you young people and their 'ships'?"

Wendy casually said, "It's like, when people think other people should be together romantically."

"I still don't see why that's a ship-"

"Stanley, shut up!"

Stan glared at his other half, before shutting his mouth and watching it all play out.

Dipper looked at (Y/N), embarrassed.   "I'm so sorry-"

"It's fine, they'd have known soon enough."

He looked at her gratefully, and gestured to his family. "Want to go say hi?"

"That would be great."

They walked together, hands still intertwined, not just walking to familly and friends, but starting a new chapter in life. A chapter with... her.

EEEE! So cute!

ALSO I've hidden a code in this book! Rather bold of me, eh? Anyways, to solve the code... oh, look, Caeser salad dressing, my favorite!
