"I think that could work. We should try it out and see how it works for us."
"Okay."
Yeonjun looked at his husband and then interlocked their fingers. "Beomgyu...thank you but this is a big jump and if you really don't want to do this–"
"Yeonjun, nothing would make me happier than having a family with you and yes this is sudden but the situation calls for it. I love you and I think this will be good for us and him...wait what's his name?"
"Oh, it's Iseul."
"Iseul, that's adorable. Well, I am excited to have Iseul here. So let him know there's a home for him if he wants it with us." He kissed his cheek. "I am going to enjoy my breakfast that is cold again."
Yeonjun watched him, smiling to himself before he stood up to join him.
...
"A baby?"
"Not exactly Mom, he's five." Beomgyu said into the phone as he was getting ready for work. "You think it's a bad idea don't you?"
"What are you kidding? I always wanted to be a grandma but I didn't wanna be one of those parents that pressure their kids into having children. Being a parent is not easy, no one teaches you everything you need to know. It's trial and error."
"I have to admit I am a bit nervous. What if he doesn't like me?"
"He'll love you because he trusts Yeonjun. He will know you're a safe place for him. I'm so excited, I'm gonna be a grandma! Call me if you ever need someone to watch him."
Beomgyu laughed. "Okay mom."
"Beomgyu?"
"Yes?"
"I'm so proud of you. You're doing great."
Beomgyu felt himself tear up a little. "Thank you."
"We'll talk again soon. Have a good day at work."
"Okay, I will. Bye mom."
"Bye sweetheart."
Beomgyu sighed and stepped out the bathroom to go get dressed. Yeonjun was making them coffee as he was also getting ready to go to work.
"I'm leaving."
"Here." Yeonjun gave him his coffee. "I love you."
"I love you too." They kissed each other. "Have a good day."
"You too."
Yeonjun went to work and went to talk to Iseul who was sitting at a table by himself staring at blocks.
"Iseul."
He looked up and a large smile spread across his face as he ran over to him.
"Junnie hyung!"
He knelt down and hugged him. "Hi Iseul how are you?"
"I'm happy to see you!"
"Aww, I'm happy to see you too. What were you doing?"
"Waiting for you."
"Well I'm here now. Let's go for a little walk around the building I wanna talk to you."
The little boy held his hand as they went to walk together.
"So, you know how you will be placed in a home with other kids who need families right?"
"Yes."
"And do you want that?"
"Will I still be able to see you?"
"Not as often as you do here."
"Then I don't want it."
Yeonjun chuckled. "Well, I went home and talk to my partner–"
"Your husband Beomgyu hyung?"
"Yes, my husband. And he brought up the idea of you living with us. How does that sound?"
"Living with you and Beomgyu hyung? I can see you still?"
"You'll see me all the time since we will be in the same house if you want to–"
"Yes!" He hugged him. "Yes, please let me live with you."
Yeonjun hugged him back. "We'd love for you to." Iseul looked at him and started crying. "What's wrong buddy?"
"I'm so happy." He cried into his arms.
Yeonjun blinked away his own tears. He was happy to give him the home he wasn't able to have.
