Getting up, I lowered Abby down into her cot and then walked very quietly out of the room and closed the door. Going down the hallway, I locked the front door and made sure all of the curtains were closed before going to find Taylor. She was wearing one of the shirts she'd stolen from me, her hair tucked back into a long plait, and she smiled happily up at me when I came in.
"Give me a second princess." I chuckled when she lifted the blankets for me to get into bed with her. "Need to change first." Taylor pouted.
"Hurry up because I want cuddles." She told me. "I'm used to sleeping with you now and I can't sleep properly on my own."
"Good thing I'm moving in then huh?" I winked at her as I quickly changed, and Taylor wrinkled her nose at me with a cute little smile as I got into bed with her. She climbed almost completely on top of me immediately, snuggling close like a kitten. I just smiled, wrapping my arms around her the way she liked to fall asleep.
"I had so much fun tonight Travis." Taylor mumbled after a moment of silence. "It was really nice hanging out with your family, and I'm glad they know about the baby."
"I'm glad you liked it." I rubbed one hand gently up her back beneath the shirt she wore absent-mindedly.
"I loved it." Taylor yawned.
"Sleep princess." I whispered to her, and she nodded, drooping her head against my neck. "I love you my beautiful girl." I breathed quietly, tucking a strand of hair that had escaped out her face.
"I love you too." Taylor mumbled tiredly, and I smiled.

By the time school started again, Taylor and I were living together. It had been a bit of adjustment for Abby since she had to get used to another person all the time, but after a few days she settled in and was happier than ever. It was incredible living with Taylor and Abby, and it was really starting to feel like our forever stretching before us.
"Okay." Taylor breathed as I turned off my car when we got to school, having dropped off Abby with Andrea. We'd decided just to take one car since it saved time, and Taylor's things were already spreading through mine like she was taking over. I teased her about it, but secretly I loved it.
"Why do you look so scared?" I laughed, rubbing my hand against her thigh where it had been resting.
"Because teenagers are brutal and they know we're dating." Taylor said timidly.
"You're cute." I leaned over and kissed her cheek. "They also have new gossip every hour. Don't worry about it okay?"
Taylor blushed and nodded, and I got out to open her door. She smiled at me when I took her hand and helped her out of the car, tucking her purse over her shoulder. Weaving my fingers through hers, I locked my car and started walking her over to the music building. A few students were around, and I could almost feel the eyes on us as we walked, but I didn't care. The kids would tease, and we'd roll our eyes. No big deal.
I walked Taylor to her classroom and kissed the corner of her lips, stroking her cheek before I turned away. I felt like I was walking on clouds as I went down to the gym, smiling like an idiot. Everything was perfect, and I'd turned into one hell of a cheesy guy, but Taylor had made everything perfect. Taylor and Abby, and our little baby we'd soon meet.
Everything was a little busy since it was the first day back, and I was swept up in organization for the practices and events coming up. I'd intended to go and meet Taylor during lunch, but instead I found myself having to go out to the field where the football boys and the cheerleading team were supposed to be working on a few things since there apparently was a new cheerleading coach.
I could see a short brunette that was only just taller than the students standing over with the cheerleading team, holding a clipboard as she talked to them. I walked over, intending to introduce myself when she turned around and I blinked in surprise.
"Aimee?"
"Travis!" My high school ex-girlfriend smiled widely, coming over to embrace me. I was so shocked to see her I didn't have time to step back, and she hugged me tightly before pulling back to smile at me.
Aimee and I had dated for a few months in senior year, but it had never been that serious. We'd been hot and heavy for a while and then it had faded, partially because I had still the biggest crush on Taylor tho i hadn't been able to admit that back then, so we'd split before graduation and never looked back. I'd never expected to see her again, and suddenly she was standing in front of me, obviously the new cheerleading sub-coach.
Great. She looked like she hadn't changed, and high school me had put up with her, but the person I was now definitely could not. Aimee was shallow, self absorbed with very high expectations, demanding, and a little (lot) bitchy. I was already dreading this.
"How are you?" I forced out with a faked smile.
"Oh so great!" Aimee smiled. "I mean, I went to LA and did that whole model thing, but I got bored of it and then my sister got divorced and that asshole husband of hers took all the money so I came home to help her out and this job was available." She gestured to the cheerleading girls. "And I figured it wouldn't be that hard, I mean you remember how good I was at cheerleading." She winked at me.
"Right." I cleared my throat. "Well, shall we get started?"
