"What's the point in taking it slow when I'm already head over heels in love with you?"
Taylor's words echoed in my ears as she gazed up at me, biting her lip so fucking adorably. My heart pounded as I stared at her, and then I couldn't control myself. I sank down and claimed her lips with mine, kissing her ferociously. I needed her, God, I needed her.
"You love me?" I murmured against her mouth and Taylor nodded insistently. "I love you princess." I let the words spill from my lips, feeling relief rush through me at the feeling of letting them loose. Yeah, maybe it was rushing into things, but who the hell cared if it felt right? I loved her.
"I love you Travis." Taylor wound her arms around my neck. "And in the nicest way I'm glad you didn't make it in the NFL, otherwise you never would have come home to me."
And I agreed with her. My career meant nothing if I had to do it alone. I might be a sappy romantic, but I'd choose love over anything and everything.
"Me too princess." I sighed. "Maybe in another life we both made it, and I'd be dancing at your concerts and you'd be cheering me on from the stands."
"Who knows." Taylor huffed. "Maybe we'll still do it in this life."
I smiled as she crushed her lips to mine, delicate fingers sliding down my shirt and tugging at the hem. Shifting my weight, I rested my knees by her thighs and rose up to lift my shirt over my head, tossing it away. Then I glanced over, making sure I hadn't accidentally thrown it into the fire or something. Taylor giggled, and I looked down at her.
I had to stop then, just to look at her. She lay there clad in red lace and my old jersey, hair spread eagled like a halo framing her face, cheeks flushed with the brilliant smile on her perfect lips. But it was her eyes I was drawn to, that beautiful blue that must have been painted by angels, the lashes that fluttered as she blinked up at me. My girl my woman, my invisible string.
"I love you."
The words drifted from my lips like the soft brush of silk, easy, natural. The words had never felt right with anyone else before, but as I looked down at the girl I'd fallen for all those years ago, I saw the woman I loved staring right back. And she smiled. Smiled brilliantly, beautifully.
"I love you too." She whispered, so quietly that I almost had to read her lips. "I want all of you Travis, all of you."
She could have all of me. I wanted to give it to her.
Leaning down, I fitted my mouth against hers and kissed her with all the love scorching through my veins. Taylor slipped her hands against my hair, rubbing gently as she wrapped her long legs around my waist. We held each other close, kisses bleeding into a heavy make out session that left our hands roaming and chest panting. The air felt heavy, rough, and I sucked it in like a lifeline in-between placing my lips on her mouth, her skin.
"Travis." Taylor whispered as I worked my jersey off her body, revealing her breasts clad in the little bra she wore.
"Yes princess?" I murmured, pulling back so she could speak. Taylor swallowed as I tucked some hair out of her face, stroking her cheekbone.
"I'm not..." She paused. "I'm not nervous because it's you, but I'm nervous because I...haven't been with anyone in a really long time and I'm worried I won't be any good."
