A/N I am doing the same thing again with AI!! its actually really fun!! I am doing a SOTD (song of the day)
SOTD - If we have each other - Alec Benjamin
~~NICO~~
Now we have to pick out a cake.... "Any ideas Perce?" I ask.
Percy bounced in his seat, his energy crackling like summer lightning. "Chocolate with peanut butter filling, Nico! Or maybe red velvet, for some real romance?"
I raised an eyebrow, a small smile tugging at the corner of my lips. Percy's enthusiasm was endearing, even if a little one-sided. "We need something that reflects both of us, Kelp Head," I said, using his least favorite nickname.
"Right, right," he conceded, scratching his head. "Dark chocolate for you, then? With, uh..." He trailed off, clearly stumped.
We lapsed into silence, surrounded by the quiet of the Underworld cabin. The weight of choosing a wedding cake, a seemingly trivial detail, suddenly felt oddly daunting.
"Maybe this isn't our forte," I finally admitted.
"Yeah," Percy agreed, a thoughtful frown creasing his forehead. "But who would be?"
An idea sparked in my mind. "Piper!" I exclaimed. "With her charmspeak and design sense, she could create a cake that's perfect for us."
Percy's eyes lit up. "And who better to bake it than Will?" He grinned. "Will's got his healing thing going on – he could probably whip up a cake that's delicious and beautiful."
A comfortable silence settled between us as we envisioned the cake – a dark chocolate base, perhaps, a nod to my Underworld background. Seaweed frosting swirls could be a nice touch, a tribute to Percy's love for the ocean. We didn't need all the details figured out, just the core idea. Knowing Piper and Will, they'd use their talents to craft a cake that was as unique and special as our relationship.
Smiling, I nudged Percy's arm. "So, what do you say? We pitch the dark chocolate and seaweed concept to Piper and Will ,and see what magic they can create?" Maybe they can even work in some skulls made of white chocolate – a touch of Underworld elegance to balance the ocean vibes."
Percy's eyes sparkled with a mix of amusement and something deeper. "Skulls, huh? You sure you're not just trying to sneak in some memento mori for the wedding cake, Nico?"
I swatted his arm playfully. "Maybe a little. But hey, if it balances out the seaweed, wouldn't that be a fair compromise?"
Percy chuckled. "Fair enough. Alright, skulls and seaweed it is. Let's find those two lovebirds and see if they're up for the challenge. Knowing Piper, she'll charmspeak the oven into baking the most perfect cake ever.
The image of a wedding cake adorned with delicate white chocolate skulls and vibrant blue seaweed swirls brought a genuine smile to my face. It might not be the most traditional wedding cake, but then again, our relationship wasn't exactly traditional either. And with Piper and Will on the job, it was bound to be something truly special.
