~~PERCY~~

Man, wedding planning was a hydra, a mythical beast with multiple heads that grew back whenever you chopped one off. Every time I felt like I'd wrestled one head down (guest list, venue), two more seemed to sprout from its place, demanding immediate attention (decorations, food). Across from me in the worn armchair sat Nico, a living embodiment of stoic nonchalance. He wasn't exactly Mr. Enthusiastic Cooperation. In fact, he resembled more of a shadow brooding in the corner, occasionally muttering about the whole thing being "unnatural." Still, progress was progress, even if it felt like trying to move a glacier with a teaspoon. Here I was, a seasoned hero who'd faced down countless mythical beasts, from the fearsome Hydra itself to the conniving Kronos, and yet wedding planning seemed to be a battle of a different kind.

I tapped my pen against the worn cover of my notebook, the sound echoing through the dusty silence of the rec room. Sunlight streamed through the dusty windows, casting long shadows across the worn furniture. It felt strange to be planning a wedding in a place that usually buzzed with the energy of demigod campers training and laughing. Yet,here we were, surrounded by the familiar scent of pine needles and campfires, embarking on this new adventure together.

"Alright, Nico," I announced, trying to inject some enthusiasm into the air. The silence stretched between us,broken only by the rhythmic chirping of a nearby blue jay. "We've (mostly) conquered the guest list. Venue – Camp Half-Blood, check. Now comes the fun part: decorations! This is where I need your input, Nico di Angelo, master of the underworldly aesthetic. Think gloomy elegance, something that says 'powerful love story unfolding in the shadows' with a touch of...well, maybe not rainbows and glitter, but something?"

Nico barely cracked open one eye, peering at me from beneath his dark hair like a suspicious Hades scrutinizing a particularly sunny day in the mortal realm. The ever-present shadows that clung to him seemed to deepen, momentarily obscuring the worn armchair he occupied.

"Don't expect rainbows and glitter," he said gruffly, his voice as rough as sandpaper. "Those things are an abomination to the underworldly aesthetic. They belong in Elysium, not a place that celebrates the power of shadows and the mysteries of the unknown."

I held up my hands defensively. "No rainbows, I promise. I wouldn't dare suggest anything so...un-Nico. But what about some dark blue tablecloths? Like the deep ocean, you know? Maybe with a shimmering, silver accent for a touch of elegance, something that reflects the moonlight on the Styx or the glint of a celestial bronze blade?"

Nico stared at the ceiling for a long moment, a contemplative silence settling between us. I could almost hear the gears turning in his head as he weighed the merits of oceanic tablecloths against his usual preference for all things dark and brooding. Perhaps a touch of the celestial wouldn't be so bad after all, a subtle nod to the world above that had brought us together.

A/N hope you like it!!
