Lionpaw flexed his claws, eager to sink them into flesh. Ashfur glanced at him. ' Hey, Cloudtail! ' He called. ' Does Cinderpaw want to battle train with Lionpaw? '
Cloudtail bounded over, Cinderpaw bolting past him. ' Yes, please! ' She meowed. Ashfur glanced at Cloudtail, and he nodded.
With a signal from his tail, Cloudtail followed Ashfur through the thorn barrier, the apprentices charging after them.

' Mrrh! ' Cloudtail struggled in the prickly bush, his pelt caught in the thorns. Lionpaw stifled a mrrow of laughter, and Cinderpaw smiled. Ashfur had been demonstrating a battle move with Cloudtail, and Ashfur had proven it worked.
Hollypaw had decided to tag along with her mentor, and Brightheart now paced worriedly around her mate. ' You're sure you're okay? ' She mewed for the 900th time.' Yes, yes. ' He grumbled, nipping at the thorns stuck in his fluff. ' Your turn. ' Ashfur meowed suddenly. The apprentices looked at eachother, unsure of which two apprentices he had meant.
' Cinderpaw and Lionpaw. ' He grunted.
The two apprentices jumped to their paws excitedly, eyes shining.
Lionpaw growled and flashed his claws. The warriors had left to hunt prey, but Cloudtail had stayed due to the thorns in his pelt. He was still grumbling about the ' StarClan-cursed thorns. '
Lionpaw's heart thumped with anticipation and excitement. He would rip Cinderpaw to shreds!
He leaped at Cinderpaw, unsheathing his claws. Cloudtail was still picking at his fluffy jungle of tangled fur, and he decided to give himself a full wash.
Cinderpaw swiftly darted to the right, Lionpaw lashing out at dust. Half a second after he landed, he bounded at Cinderpaw and lashed out. He rained blows down as she shrunk back into her pelt, pressing herself to the ground.
Hollypaw bolted in. ' Stop! You're hurting her! '
Lionpaw leaned closer to Cinderpaw. ' Tell anyone about this training session, and you're crow-food. ' He hissed through gritted teeth. Cinderpaw nodded and he let her go.
Hollypaw roared and threw herself on top of Lionpaw, and just then Cloudtail looked up. She froze.
