How does a spoiled ex-cheerleader make it onto the men's college basketball team? She accidentally made a three pointer, duh.
Join Min Ye-jun, a misunderstood sweetheart, as she becomes the last hope for a suffering group of boys. Will they end up...
"Did Niki really steal my laptop?" Jungwon snorted before nodding his head. "Yep, nobody noticed except Sunghoon, but he didn't say anything." "Of course." Jungwon made a noise of agreement before continuing. "I was going to let him keep it since it's his birthday soon, but I figured you'd know who took it." Yejun took note of the birthday comment. "Wow, that was really nice of you." "I know."
"Oh yeah, I need to remind you we have a nine o'clock home game on Saturday." Jungwon was sat on the other end of the couch, messing around with the blanket that was lying next to him. "God, I forgot about that." "Don't worry, you just have to show up and look pretty." At his words, both Yejun and Jungwon visibly froze. Yejun started to smile, happy at the chance to tease him.
"You think I'm pretty?" Jungwon groaned. "So what? Don't take it to heart." Yejun's smile dropped, not expecting him to double down on his words. Feeling confused and faint, she wanted the conversation to end. "You want to stay over?"
"Because I called you pretty?" He looked scandalized, no doubt assuming her words had a deeper meaning. Yejun gasped, taking the throw pillow she was fiddling with and launching it in his direction. "No, dumbass, because it's one in the morning, and I'd feel bad sending you onto the street." Jungwon dodged the pillow, laughing at the horrified look on her face.
"I don't know; isn't your dad going to be home?" "No, he's booked all day." Jungwon nodded. "Is that a yes?" "It's a yes."
Nothing else happened that night; Yejun got Jungwon set up in a guest bedroom; they said goodnight and went to sleep. Jungwon was gone by the time Yejun woke up, which she figured to be a good thing as she made her way downstairs and found her dad sitting alone at the dining table.
"Ah, my daughter, come have a seat." Great, what could this be about? Hasn't he done enough?" Hyunjin told me you have a tutor. Is that right?" Jeez, is Hyunjin already leaning into the role of a brother? Why did he snitch? "Oh, yeah, Jungwon. He's teaching me math." Yejun should actually find a tutor for math; her grades are definitely lower than average.
"Yejun, why didn't you tell me you were struggling? I could have gotten you a private tutor. Mr. Kim could have found you one." His words made Yejun realize something. "Where is Mr. Kim by the way? I haven't seen him in a while." "Oh, he's on vacation." The look on his face gave Yejun bad vibes; she definitely didn't think her dad was capable of killing her butler. Right?
"Yejun, focus. This is serious. We can't let it get out that you need a tutor." Of course, he didn't care if she was actually struggling. It was just bad for his reputation. "Jungwon won't tell anyone, I promise." Especially because he's not actually her tutor.
"Still, I need to meet him so we can go over some things." Her dad got up and grabbed his phone. "I want to meet him tomorrow at noon. I sent money to your debit card, so try not to call me today, I'm super busy." He got a call and left, leaving Yejun all alone, like usual.
Yejun grabbed her phone, meaning to message Jungwon about the situation, but instead she saw a message from Sunoo. 'Good Morning. See you later." It read. You might as well cut Yejun up and season her, because tomato was the only word to describe her.
The way she felt about Sunoo confused her. She thought he was attractive, of course. She felt that way about the whole team, to be honest, but Sunoo was so kind. He was the first player to talk to her and welcome her. He made her feel something she had never felt before. She just doesn't know what that is.

Yejun was walking into the gym, dreading what lay ahead of her. The 'See you later.' text from Sunoo was referring to basketball practice. The game was in two days, and Yejun assumed she was just there for support. She also had to have her uniform fitted, but she liked to feel important.
Stepping into the gym, Yejun was met with all seven boys sitting around the bleachers and talking. Jake, Jay, and Sunghoon were sitting on the floor in front of the other guys, who were sitting on the bench. At the sound of the gym door opening, all heads turned. "Look who's here, the traitor." Judging by the smile on Heeseung's face, she could tell he wasn't serious. "What are you talking about?" She set her bag down and took a seat next to Sunoo, who put his arm around her shoulders. She ignored the feeling of butterflies pounding in her stomach.
"Fraternizing with the enemy is a serious offense, and you must pay." At Sunghoon's words, Yejun whipped her head around to glare at Jungwon. "You told them?!" "They were going to find out eventually." He held his hands up in defense. "Don't change the subject, sweetheart; drop and give us fifty." Niki said, smirking when Yejun looked at him. "Yeah, right. The big mouth over there also told me you stole my laptop, so I really wouldn't be talking if I were you."
"You told her?!"
"Okay guys, let's practice." Coach stepped into the gym. "Oh Yejun, the tailor is waiting for you in the girls locker room."
After getting the awful uniform fitted and having to pay some pocket money so the tailor would make the measurements a little smaller than regulation, she walked into the gym to find an argument taking place. Surprisingly, Jungwon and Heeseung were the ones going at each other's throats. She wasn't shocked to see Jungwon arguing, but she had never seen Heeseung raise his voice before.
She only got bits and pieces—something about Heeseung being the oldest and Jungwon being the leader, blah blah blah. She would be concerned, but the other boys faces told her it wasn't that serious.
"Okay!" Coach stepped in between them. "This is getting ridiculous; we can't go one practice without something going wrong!" The two finally separated, each going to one side of the gym. "You guys are not going to be able to play like this on Saturday. Practice is off; I want the whole team to go do something and bond, or else there will be no reason to play on Saturday at all." He walked out, and Yejun could have sworn he pulled out a chunk of hair.
"Oooh, let's go to Lotte World." At Niki's words, Sunoo and Jake gave shouts of agreement. The rest looked unsure, and Yejun was scared; she had never been to an amusement park before. Maybe she could find a way out. "We can't afford Lotte World, Niki." Jungwon still had an attitude. "We get student discounts. C'mon, let's go."
Everyone looked at Jungwon in anticipation, but Yejun was more worried. "Fine." Shouts of excitement went around and even Sunghoon was smiling. Yejun felt bad, but she had to break the news. "Um, yeah, about that." She started gathering her things. "I can't go, I have-" To her surprise, shouts of protest were thrown at her before she could even finish, with Sunoo running over and taking her but the shoulders. "You're a part of the team, you're going." He started pushing her towards the gym doors. "But-"
"You're going."
