~ continuing on with Chapter Twelve ~
Currently I was strolling along the sidewalk with my arms locked with Ha Neul's. We were far behind the boys, but we could still hear their obnoxious fits of laughter.
Sleepiness was probably setting into their bodies, but they were overcompensating for it by telling stupid jokes and punching each other in the arms. (At least that's what Ha Neul told me what they were doing.)
Ha Neul told me about her life, and she even expressed how envious she was of me because I was apparently quite the cutie pie. Her comment made me profusely blush, which led her to call me adorable.
"Ha Neul, stop! You're making me blush!" I protested.
She giggled and said,
"You would think among all those guys you would be blushing way more than you would when I was talking to you."
This caused me to make a gross noise that emitted from the back of my throat. It almost sounded like I was gagging, but it wasn't a full on gag.
"Ha Neul, those guys are like my family now. There's no way none of them could make me blush at this point. Not like I can see them anyways!"
My stupid comment made her giggle even more and she started to tell me something that was rather interesting,
"Luhan looks at you like you're his little sis. It's really cute." She continued on to describe Luhan, "he has blonde hair that sticks out everywhere, a cute little nose, and this really pretty sparkle in his eyes. I wish you could see it."
Man it really sucked that I couldn't see him. Then again being able to see him might lead to me falling for him. That's the thing I liked about my disability. I judged people's worth based off of their personality, not their looks.
My thoughts were interrupted when Ha Neul mentioned something about Sehun.
Her voice was soft and calm, maybe just a bit concerned,
"Sehun, looks at you kind of weirdly."
Weirdly?! Like a pervert?
She continued to talk,
"It's not in a bad way. Just like a different way than Luhan looks at you. I think he just wants to be your friend."
I scoffed.
Sehun wants to be my friend? That's completely absurd!
Ha Neul was about to say something else, but once again Luhan interjected her by shouting,
"Hey, you guys should walk with us! We don't bite, Ha Neul!"
I could disagree to the not biting part, but I wasn't going to tell Ha Neul that. She was probably just shaken up enough by being invited for a walk with a strange guy who had a group of weird friends.
Ha Neul squeezed my inner forearm and said,
"Shall we?"
I just nodded my head, and we began to catch up with the guys. Luhan immediately started flirting with Ha Neul, his nervous flirting made her completely forget about me (I wouldn't blame her. He was quite smooth with his words.), and before I knew it I was having to use my walking stick to guide my way.
"Freaking Luhan." I muttered under my breath.
He had seemed to forgot about me too, so it was just Sehun and me.
The only sound to be heard was the clicking of my stick hitting the concrete.
Sehun must've thought the silence was awkward so he just flat out asked,
"Sooo do you like bubble tea now?"
I nodded my head. The strawberry kind was really good, and now that I had it, I wanted it all the time.
"Do you wanna try some of the coffee flavor?"
My face scrunched up. Did I really want to put my mouth on something that Sehun had put in his mouth? That sounded quite disgusting to be honest.
So my answer to his question was,
"I'd rather not."
"Oh uh okay."
God this was so weird! Why did he have to be nice to me?! I couldn't just be nice to someone who I told to die!
"Why do you have this panicked look on your face? I'm not going to kill you or anything. If I wanted to kill you I would have done it already."
My face heated up in embarrassment. I forgot that he could see my dumb facial expressions. I didn't even respond to his comment.
"Okay then don't reply to anything I say."
Man, was he going to let up? Eventually I responded,
"I just don't know how to communicate with you."
He deeply exhaled, and we left it at that. After our awkward encounter, Luhan beckoned us to go back to the dorm.
I didn't want to part ways with Ha Neul, but she said she would text me tomorrow, and we would hang out soon.
On the way back to the dorm, Luhan was practically digging his nails into my palm, and he was yanking me every which way. Eventually I had enough of it, and I dropped his hand.
When he realized that my hand wasn't wrapped around his anymore, he sounded quite offended.
He said something like,
"Oh would you rather have Sehun hold your hand?"
"If you want the truth, yeah I would."
Luhan faked a painful gasp.
"Ha! Look who's my friend now!" Sehun mocked Luhan. Out of nowhere he grabbed my hand, locking his fingers with mine, and he began to make fake crying noises.
I squeezed his hand and said,
"Don't get too ahead of yourself, buddy. I never said we were full on friends. You can just be my new walking buddy."
Luhan started laughing, and began mocking Sehun.
When we got back to the dorm, the guys snuck back to their rooms. I was too tired to even walk to my room, so I decided to crash on the couch.
The couch was so much more comfortable than my bed.
- Sehun's POV -
I woke up at about 3 am to get a glass of water from the kitchen. When I turned on the light, I could see a small figure laying on the couch.
I quietly laughed and shook my head.
Meiying was quite the loud mouth, so seeing her sleeping was a relief. I noticed there wasn't a blanket over here, so before I went back to my room I grabbed a blanket off of one of the other couches, and threw it over her.
She was making a weird noise that sounded almost like a kitten snoring.
Not going to lie it was kinda cute, but that was certainly the only cute thing about her.
I hope she slept well.
