Mayura 's pov:

I woke up feeling refreshed and free, finally done with my hectic exams! After a relaxing bath, I headed downstairs to the palace living room, where Maa was busy ordering breakfast to the maids for the family. Papa was just coming out of his room, looking fresh and ready for the day. I ran to him, throwing my arms around his waist. "Good morning, Papa! Daughter hugs !" I exclaimed, squeezing him tight. He smiled and hugged me back .

We chatted with Maa for a while, enjoying the warm atmosphere of the palace. Just as we were getting into a lively conversation, Abhimaan walked in, fresh from his morning workout. His eyes lit up when he saw me, and he smiled, clearly surprised that I was finally free from my exams.

"Good morning, everyone!" he said, his deep voice filling the room. He made his way to his room, which was situated on the side stairs, right next to where I was sitting . As he passed by me, he deliberately slowed down and gently brushed his fingers against my back.

That soft, fleeting touch sent shivers down my spine! I felt a flutter in my chest, and my heart skipped a beat. I tried to play it cool, but I couldn't help sneaking a glance at Abhimaan as he continued up the stairs. He was already halfway up, but he turned back to catch my eye, a sly smile playing on his lips. I quickly looked away, feeling a blush rise to my cheeks.

Maa and Papa were oblivious to the exchange, but I knew Abhimaan had done it on purpose. That little touch was his way of saying, "I'm glad you're finally free, Mayura. Let's make the most of it!"

As we sat around the breakfast table, engaged in a lively conversation, I suddenly felt a piece of food lodge in my throat. I tried to cough it out, but it only seemed to get worse. Abhimaan, sitting next to me, quickly noticed my distress and sprang into action.

Without drawing attention to himself, he discreetly placed his hand on my thigh, his fingers gently rubbing in a soothing motion. The touch sent a shiver down my spine, and I felt my face flush. The choking sensation began to subside, but Abhimaan's hand lingered, his fingers tracing slow, seductive circles on my skin.

I tried to focus on the conversation, but my attention was divided. Maa and Papa were discussing some palace affairs, completely unaware of the subtle exchange between Abhimaan and me. I glanced at him, his eyes locked on mine, a hint of mischief dancing in their depths.

His hand remained on my thigh, a constant reminder of the spark between us. I felt a flutter in my chest, knowing that even in the midst of a family breakfast, our connection was palpable.

As we finished breakfast, Abhimaan pushed his chair back and announced, "I have to head to the office, but I'd love some company." He looked at me with a charming smile, and I felt my heart skip a beat.

Maa, who was sitting across from us, spoke up, "Go, beta, go with him. I've got everything under control here. Your father and I can handle the wedding preparations."

I hesitated for a moment, but Abhimaan's persuasive gaze won me over. "Okay, I'll go," I said, trying to sound casual despite my excitement.

As we walked out of the palace, Abhimaan offered me his arm, and I took it, feeling a sense of elegance and sophistication. We strolled through the gardens, enjoying the crisp morning air and the sweet fragrance of blooming flowers.

Once we were out of Maa's sight, I turned to Abhimaan with a playful grin. "I'll only go with you if you promise to behave yourself and not distract me ."

Abhimaan's eyes sparkled with amusement, and he leaned in closer, his warm breath tickling my ear. "What makes you think I'd distract you, Jaana?" he whispered, his voice low and husky.
