Chapter 29: The Mess I Made

I just sighed. I'm just making things complicated. 

After she learned about my used to be feelings for her, we became awkward. 

My phone rang. Gina is calling.

"Hello?" I answered her call.

"Sir Neil, everything is set for next week" she formally said

"Okay thank you. Please secure everything" I casually said.

I finish what I am doing then take a quick shower before heading out my room. I saw my brothers watching me descending the stairs.

"You know what, Kuya, Neil is giving me creeps" bulong ni Kuya Nex kay Kuya Nate. Narinig ko naman kaya nag-dirty finger ako sa kanya.

My family is worried all the damn time. Namana ko kasi ang sakit ng lolo ko na mild bipolar disorder. But I am cleared now. Nag-iinit lang talaga ang ulo ko kay kuya Nex dahil idinidiin niya sa akin ang katangahan ko na nawala si Cleo.

"He's fine, Nexiel. Arte nalang niyang 'yung huling atake niya. What a pussy whipped man" natatawang sabi ni Kuya Nate.

Hindi ko na sila pinansin at umalis na ng bahay. 

Pinagtitinginan ako ng mga tao sa jewelry store. What's wrong in being in a place like this?

"Can I see that necklace?" turo ko sa isang naka-display na necklace.

She handed me the necklace. It's an elegant diamond and sapphire butterfly-shaped pendant in a gold chain. 

Cleo loves butterfly so I'm sure she'll love it.

After buying the necklace, I went to check the yacht. I'm glad that Kuya Nate lend me his favorite baby. 

I am planning for a romantic dinner with her on her birthday. I know I am breaking her rules, but I badly wants to spend that special day with her. 

A month and a half might be enough time for her. I let her have her space from me that long. 

Everything is set. The yacht, the foods, the flowers, my gift. Si Cleo na lamang ang kulang.

I went inside my car and drive my way to where she is.
