Beomgyu rolled his eyes as the corner of his lip twitched up.
"Shut up. I'm mad at you."
"I know. I'm sorry."
Beomgyu sighed and shook his head. "I just wish...you'd tell me what's going on." He muttered as he looked at him. "And not the excuses you tell your coworkers but the truth. I deserve that, don't I?"
"Of course you do I just...I just can't."
Beomgyu looked away from him as they silently drank. Once he finished his soju he stood up.
"I'm going to dance."
Yeonjun didn't say anything and watched Beomgyu walk over to the dance floor. He swayed his hips to the music, closing his eyes, moving his body in a way that made Yeonjun want to pounce on him. He hated this. He hated the fact that other people could look at him and potentially fall in love the way he did.
He wanted Beomgyu to himself.
He needs Beomgyu to himself.
He shook the feeling off. The feeling of wanting someone else so deeply it hurt. He shrugged it off because he felt unworthy of feeling that way. He had Beomgyu and he lost him because of his own selfish reasons.
He hated himself for what he had put Beomgyu through.
He looked away from Beomgyu, turning in his seat to face the bar again. His husband didn't want to wear his ring, they argued all the time, he didn't say I love you back, they don't cuddle, and Yeonjun was starting to rethink this entire one month thing. Maybe it was already over and this was Yeonjun trying to hold on a little longer.
Maybe Beomgyu was truly happier without him.
Maybe it was for the best.
"Dude!" Yeonjun jumped and looked at Soobin. "Aren't you gonna do something?" He gestured behind him and when he did, his blood started to boil.
Some drunk guy was grabbing Beomgyu and being handsy with him despite the smaller male clearly trying to get away.
He stormed over and Yeonjun didn't say anything. He just pushed the guy off and started punching him. Over and over and over again.
"Yeonjun stop!" Beomgyu yelled trying to pull him off. "He's done, stop it!"
Two guys came over pulling Yeonjun off and soon they found themselves kicked out for causing a commotion. They stood on the sidewalk not sure on what to do.
"I can't believe you. You could've seriously hurt him."
Yeonjun's head whipped in his direction.
"Wait you're mad at me? He was touching you! He was a drunken perv!"
"That doesn't mean beat him into a pulp!"
"Okay...what the hell do you want from me?" He yelled at him. "Tell me. Please! Is there even the smallest chance of us being together at the end of this month. Am I wasting my time?"
Beomgyu just shook his head. "Wasting your time? I'm sorry, when did I become unworthy of your time and energy? I handed you the papers!" He yelled back. "You refused to sign not me! I knew it. I don't know why for a single second I thought you were capable of change!"
"For fucks sake Beomgyu I don't know what to do anymore! Just tell me please!"
Beomgyu didn't say anything and started to walk away. Yeonjun groaned and ran after him.
"Wait!" He called. "Beomgyu...Beomgyu!" He grabbed his arm and Beomgyu whipped around and glared at him with tearful eyes.
"You have been hiding me! Are you ashamed of me? Is that why you never let me come with you before despite your coworkers wanting me to?" He snapped at him.
"That's not it-"
"Then what is Yeonjun!"
"I know I'm not good enough!" He yelled. "I know that I'm not shit. I'm not good for anyone and definitely not you. I'm not worth the heart ache and the energy and I sure as hell don't deserve any of your love or trust. But...I'm trying!" He ran his fingers through his hair. "I'm trying and I hate seeing anyone else being what I should be with you! You're mine Beomgyu! I love you, you're with me and I'm not letting you leave me especially for someone else!"
Beomgyu stared up at him almost speechless.
"You're worth it. You're worth all the stress, all the frustration, all the heartache. You're worth it so I will keep trying until you absolutely can't stand me anymore. The day you hate me is the day I completely give up."
They were standing on that sidewalk. Only an arms length apart staring at each other before Beomgyu wiped his face and leaned back on the wall.
"I just want you to want me Yeonjun. Is that too much to ask for."
"Beomgyu I do want you."
"Well if you want me earn me!" He walked closer to him. "Prove it to me Choi Yeonjun. Prove to me that I am worth it. Don't just tell me. Show me!"
Yeonjun stared down at him before he started to walk closer making Beomgyu step back a little. His back pressed against the wall, Yeonjun grabbed his face firm yet gentle so he was looking at him.
"I'm taking you home. I'll deal with you there."'
