A day to remember

Charles Leclerc leaned against the kitchen counter, a wide smile on his face as he watched his wife, Amèlie, flipping pancakes on the stove. The smell of maple syrup filled the air, mingling with the sound of their daughter, Arabella, giggling and mumbling gibberish as she played with her red toy cars on the floor.

"Looks like we've got a little racer on our hands," Charles said, his voice filled with pride as he ruffled Arabella's hair.

Amèlie laughed, her eyes sparkling with affection as she glanced over at her husband. "She definitely takes after her father."

Charles grinned, leaning in to steal a quick kiss from Amèlie before turning his attention back to their daughter. "Hey, Arabella, do you want to help papa wash his car later?"

Arabella's eyes lit up with excitement, her chubby cheeks dimpling with delight. "Yes, papa! Wash car!"

Amèlie smiled fondly at the exchange, feeling her heart swell with love for her family. She had never imagined she would marry a formula one driver let alone one as talented and kind as Charles, but he had stolen her heart from the moment they met, and Amèlie wouldn't have it any other way.

After breakfast, Charles and Arabella headed out to the garage, Amèlie trailing behind with a basket of soapy water and sponges. Together, they worked as a team, Charles showing Arabella how to scrub the wheels while Amèlie helped her reach the higher parts of the car.

As they worked, Charles couldn't help but marvel at the sight of his daughter, her face scrunched up in concentration as she carefully scrubbed the car. She was a natural, just like her mother, and he felt a surge of gratitude for the life they had built together.

Later that afternoon, as they sat down for lunch together, Charles couldn't help but feel like the luckiest man in the world. He had a loving wife, a beautiful daughter, and a career that he was passionate about. Life was good, and he knew that as long as he had his perfect little family by his side, he could conquer anything that came his way.

As they tucked Arabella into bed that night, Charles pressed a kiss to her forehead, feeling a swell of love in his chest. "Goodnight, princess. Papa loves you."

Arabella yawned, her eyelids drooping with sleep as she snuggled into her pillow. "Love you too, papa."

Charles lingered in the doorway, watching as his daughter drifted off to sleep, feeling grateful for the love that filled their home. As he turned to leave, he knew that no matter what the future held, as long as he had Amèlie and Arabella by his side, he had already won the greatest race of all – the race of life.

Authors note: so I know that was quite soppy but I thought it was kind of cute how soft Charles was with his daughter. He'd be such a good girl dad, he's already such a sweetheart xx
