I know we have to keep moving forward. We can't stay here forever, waiting for the Darkness to find us. We have to take the initiative, find a way out of this place, and keep Lilith and Andy safe.
I look over at Rick, his face still somber, but determined. I know he's thinking the same thing. We have to get out of here, and we have to do it now.
"Rick," I say, my voice barely above a whisper. "We need to move. We can't stay here any longer."
Rick nods, his eyes locked on mine. "I know. I've been thinking the same thing. But where can we go? We're deep in the.... who knows where we are."
I take a deep breath, trying to think. "I think it's the Shadowwood." I replied, "Yeah that makes sense." He replies. It goes silent after that. So I continue to think, we can't go back the way we came, that's for sure. The Darkness will be waiting for us, and we'll be trapped.
But there has to be another way out. There has to be a way to escape this place, to find Lila and the others, and to make it back to the safety of our own world.
"I don't know," I say, my voice is frustrated. "But we have to try. We can't give up now."
Rick nods, his face set in determination. "You're right. Let's get moving. We'll find a way out of this place, no matter what it takes."
I nod, feeling a sense of resolve to wash over me. We'll get through this, together. We'll find a way out of the Shadowwood, and we'll make it back home. No matter what it takes.
As we prepare to leave the cave, I can feel a sense of trepidation wash over me. We're heading into the unknown, and I'm not sure what dangers lie ahead. But I know we can't stay here, waiting for the Darkness to find us. We have to take the initiative, find a way out of the Shadowwood, and keep Lilith and Andy safe.
I look over at Lilith, her eyes still sunken, her face pale and drawn. She's in pain, and I can see the exhaustion etched on her face. But she's also determined, and I have a feeling that she will keep going, no matter what.
"Let's move," Rick says, his voice low and urgent. "We need to find a way out of here, before it's too late."
I nod, and we set off into the darkness, the torches casting eerie shadows on the walls. We move quietly, trying not to make a sound, as we make our way deeper into the Shadowwood.
As we walk, I can feel the weight of our situation bearing down on us. We are being trapped, injured, and hunted. And I don't know if we'll ever make it out of this place alive.
But I know we have to try. We have to keep moving forward, no matter what. We have to find a way out of the Shadowwood, and make it back to the safety of our own world.
And so we keep moving, deeper into the darkness, searching for a way out. Searching for a way to escape the Shadowwood, and make it back home.
As we walk, the darkness seems to press in around us, making it hard to see more than a few feet ahead. The torches flicker, casting eerie shadows on the trees, and I can feel a sense of unease growing inside me.
Suddenly, Rick stops, his head cocked to one side. "What is it?" I whisper, my heart racing. "I thought I heard something," he replies, his voice barely audible. "Wait here."
He moves forward, his torch held high, and I can see the tension in his body. Lilith and Andy wait beside me, their eyes fixed on Rick as he disappears into the darkness.
We wait for what feels like an eternity, our ears straining to hear any sound. And then, suddenly, Rick reappears, his face grim.
"What is it?" I ask again, my voice barely above a whisper. "I found a path," he replies. "It looks like it hasn't been used in a long time, but it might be our only way out of here."
I nod, feeling a surge of hope. We might actually make it out of this place alive. "Let's move," Rick says, his voice urgent. "We don't have much time."
We set off down the path, our torches casting flickering shadows on the trees. The path is narrow and winding, and we have to push aside branches and fight our way through thick undergrowth.
But we keep moving, driven by our determination to escape the Shadowwood. And as we walk, I can feel a sense of hope growing inside me. We might actually make it out of this place alive.

Sorry this took so long. I am still, sadly, very much overwhelmed with school work and tests. I still have one more large end of year test to take, as well as the different tests in each class. I'll try to keep up with this more often but I can't guarantee anything.
On a better note, there is only about one full week of school left. So when summer hits I'm going to try to write as much as possible and finish up this book. I think that I'm going to aim for at least 25 chapters. I think that is a fairly good and achievable goal. If I don't have the story in its climax by chapter 21 I am going to drag it out to 30 chapters.
But it's getting hard to find time to write so this may be my first book and last book. I really underestimated how hard writing a book is.
