A week or two had passed since the couple's last interaction. It was all calm and steady. No against the tide waves and no turbulence in their normal routine whatsoever. That would explain Sahar's jolly mood as she stood in the kitchen baking some kind of a biscuit pudding. Dressed in a cool shade of mint, she looked ethereal. Her pudding was done and she was putting the icing on it when her mother came in the kitchen. Smiling at her mother, she passed the dish to her and chirped excitedly

"Have a bite. Tell me how is tastes?"

A wide grin adorned her lips as she waited for her mother to take a bite and critique her. Tanzila did take a small bite as she didn't consume sugar too much. That one bite was enough as the taste exploded in her mouth. Pulling Sahar's cheeks, she said

"It's amazing as always."

Smiling widely, Sahar took out a small piece of the pudding on the plate to devour. Tanzila only glanced at her daughter and just stared at her. Moisture gathered in her waterline as she stared at her happy daughter. Joining her on the sofa, she patted her head and said very softly

"Sahar, there's something I need to talk to you."

Sahar noticed how serious her mother looked, so she put her plate down on the small coffee table and faced her mother, providing her with her undivided attention.

"It's been over two months to your Nikkah. I'm thinking we should finally have the wedding now."

Sahar stared at her mother wide eyed. Two months. Has it been that long already?

She thought. She's been married for two months. That sounded surreal.

"I..I have no issue."

She stuttered a bit. The situation a bit too overwhelming for her. Tanzila knew how her daughter was feeling, so to put her at ease, she held her hand in her's and squeezed gently as to provide reassurance.

"Beta, it has to happen one day or another. You're his wife. You're supposed to be by his side just as much as he is supposed to stay by yours. As husband and wife, you too shouldn't be apart. I think it's the best time for your rukhsati."

Sahar didn't know why, but somehow tears gathered in her eyes and her voice broke when she started speaking

"Woah! I didn't expected it so.. soon."
