The next morning, Presley woke up feeling drained from the events of the past week. She was relieved to remember that it was Saturday and she wouldn't have to face school or Julia's taunts for at least a couple of days.

As she sat up in bed, Chucky still nestled in her arms, she couldn't help but feel grateful for the break. She needed time to recharge, to gather her strength for the challenges that lay ahead.

"Hey, Chucky," she said, looking down at her trusted companion. "What should we do today?"

Chucky's plastic eyes seemed to sparkle with mischief as he looked up at her.

"How about a movie marathon?" he suggested, his voice filled with excitement.

Presley's face lit up with a smile. A movie marathon sounded like the perfect way to spend the day.

"Sounds good to me," she said, her voice filled with enthusiasm. "What should we watch first?"

And so, Presley and Chucky spent the day snuggled up on the couch, surrounded by blankets and pillows, watching their favorite horror movies. For a few precious hours, the outside world faded away, and all that mattered was the bond between a girl and her doll.

As the day turned to evening and the credits rolled on the last movie, Presley felt a sense of peace wash over her. She knew that tomorrow she would have to face the world again, but for now, she was content to simply be in the moment, with Chucky by her side.

"Thanks for today, Chucky," she said, looking down at him with a smile.

Chucky smiled back at her, his stitched mouth turning up in a grin.

"Anytime, kid," he said. "Anytime."
