As Presley made her way to the locker room before gym class, she felt a knot of anxiety forming in her stomach. The locker room was always a source of stress for her, and today was no different.

As she opened her locker, she heard the sound of giggling behind her. Turning around, she saw Julia and her friends standing in a group, whispering and pointing in her direction.

Presley's heart sank. Julia had always had a knack for making her feel small and insignificant. Presley knew she should ignore her, but it was hard not to let Julia's words get to her.

"Hey, look who it is," Julia sneered, strutting over to where Presley was standing. "It's the weirdo with the doll."

Presley felt her face flush with embarrassment. She hugged Chucky tightly to her chest, seeking comfort in his familiar presence.

"Why don't you just leave me alone, Julia?" Presley said, her voice shaking with anger.

Julia just laughed, a cruel smile playing on her lips.

"Why don't you make me, freak?" she said, her voice dripping with malice.

Presley felt her eyes fill with tears, but she refused to let Julia see how much she was hurting. Taking a deep breath, she stood up straight and faced Julia head-on.

"I don't have to prove anything to you," Presley said, her voice steady. "I know who I am, and that's all that matters."

With that, she turned on her heel and walked away, Chucky held tightly in her arms. She could feel Julia's eyes boring into her back, but she refused to look back.

As she entered the gymnasium, she felt a wave of relief wash over her. She had stood up to Julia, and she hadn't let her get the best of her. With Chucky by her side, she knew she could get through anything. Today was just another reminder of that.
