How do you structure your story?

When you write your story, a structure will naturally emerge. If your story is a chapter book and/or a longer work of fiction, then you may have to create a separate document to track each chapter. What happens in each chapter? Who are the characters? What is the purpose of the chapter? If you write like me, you may write out of order of the story, writing what first interests you, and then writing the rest of the scenes. You can play around with the order in the end. Always read your work aloud to catch any awkward phrases.
