Firstly, you must read. Quality beats quantity. Sometimes we have to slow down, to speed up. Choose a story and study it. Analyze -how did you feel when A happened? How did the writer evoke these feelings in you? Read between the lines -what is stated outright and what is more implicit? Why? Secondly, you must experience with all your senses. Take a day out to sit in a park and watch people. What do you notice? Put it into words. Develop the skill of describing something. Increase your vocabulary list. Thirdly, don't think too hard on it and write.
