I apologize for the overdue.

This will be just a filler chapter before the main arc begins.

"WHAT ARE your plans for Valentine's Day, Y/N-chan?"

I just emerged from the dressing room after a change of outfit when Sakura-san threw me a question. It was the start of another busy day at the cafe shop.

I paused momentarily at the inquiry. To be honest, I had never given much thought to the upcoming occasion. "Didn't the cafe shop have something planned for that day?" I asked casually, trying to play it cool.

She concurred with a faint nod, "That's true, but I was more curious about your plans with your cute boyfriend, Sano-kun."

My eyelashes fluttered. Oh, so that's what she meant. I almost forgot that Valentine's Day was also a special occasion for couples. "I don't have any," I replied truthfully.

Sakura-san let out a dramatic gasp. "What? Y/N-chan, you can't just let Valentine's Day pass by without doing anything special for Sano-kun! Haven't you considered giving him honmei chocolate?" (A/N: Honmei chocolate means true feeling chocolate given to partners or crushes.)

A trickle of sweat dropped on my head. Was that even necessary? I mean, why bother? "Uh, do I have to?"

Sakura-san shot me an are-you-serious look just now. "C'mon, Y/N-chan! It's a norm for girls to give honmei chocolate to their significant other on Valentine's Day! It's a way to show your love and appreciation for them."

My face turned gloomy. I could never picture myself acting like those fanatic girls at our school who would blush and scream 'Kyah! Kyah!" while giving chocolates to their crushes. I found the gesture utterly ridiculous. I did not even know how to make a damn chocolate.

On second thought, I couldn't help but think what Sakura-san said made sense. Giving chocolate to my boyfriend was the least I could do to show my gratitude for everything Mikey did for my sake. Maybe, I should ask Keiko for some advice since this was one of her expertise. The last time I gave chocolate to a boy was when I was still six years old and it was Takemichi and our other friend.

"What are you girls still doing there? It's time to work! Customers are already lining up for their orders!" Sayaka-san's authoritative voice cut through our little chat, startling both of us.

Sakura-san was quick to regain her composure and nodded in compliance, "Yes, Sayaka-san! We'll get right on it! Let's go, Y/N-chan!"

I just exerted a deep sigh as the two of us hurried over toward the counter to begin our shift. I made a mental note to ask Keiko for help tomorrow in school about making honmei chocolates for Mikey.
