Chapter 14- Darkest Hour (Part 2)

"Right decision or wrong, what's done is done." Arcee stated.

"And we have another problem here on this world. The 'Cons just changed the rules when they put Jack, Miko, Raf, and Lydia into play." said Periwinkle.

Suddenly, the screen beeps.

"Prime! The Pentagon's preparing to go to Defcon 1. I need to know what we're dealing with!" Fowler yelled over the video.

"To what do you refer, Agent Fowler?" Optimus asked.

"Maybe you should step outside and see for yourselves." Fowler suggested.

"Rachet, watch the children." Optimus ordered.

He, Bulkhead, Smokescreen, Arcee, Bumblebee and Periwinkle step onto the circular platform. The platform slowly brings them to the top as the ceiling opens. They look at the Decepticon Fortress. Fowler lands his helicopter on top and runs towards them.

"Megatron has managed to accomplish the first phase of his cyber-forming of Earth, the construction of his fortress." Optimus informed.

"In Jasper, Nevada? I don't get it. I've already had the town evacuated. Why here?" Fowler asked.

Bumblebee beeps as he points at the Decepticon warship.

"Because the Decepticons have discovered the location of our Base." Optimus answered.

On the warship, Megatron announced to his fellow Decepticons.

"Our opportunity to revive Cybertron has been lost, due to the treachery of Optimus Prime! But from our fortress of New Kaon, we will instead seize control of this world! Decepticons, transform and rise up!" Megatron ordered.

"I thought he'd never asked!" Starscream says with glee.

He and the Vehicons transform into jets and fly towards the Autobot Base. The Insecticon flies beside them

"Come, my armada! Attack! Attack! Attack!" Starscream ordered.

He, the Insecticons, and Vehicons start shooting at the Autobots. The Autobots shoot down several Insecticons. Optimus slashes a light blue energy towards  the Insecticon, destroying them in an explosion. Starscream and the Vehicons continue to shoot at them.

"Autobots, into the Base!" Optimus ordered.

Smokescreen, Bumblebee, Periwinkle, and Arcee head into the platform. Bulkhead turns to see Fowler getting back in the helicopter.

"Fowler, what are you doing?!" Bulkhead asked.

Fowler puts on a headset.

"My job, two-tone." Fowler retorts.

He takes off in the helicopter. The platform lowers the Autobots back inside the Base as the ceiling closes. Fowler starts shooting at Starscream and the Vehicons from his helicopter, but they fly past him. The inside of the Base rumbles as Starscream and the Vehicons repeatedly shoot at it from the outside.

"What's happening?" Jack asked.

Optimus, Bulkhead, Periwinkle, Arcee, Bumblebee, and Smokescreen walk back inside the main room.

"What's going on out there?" Rachet asked.

"The Decepticons have invaded Jasper." Optimus informed.

"And Fowler seems to think he can hold them off." Bulkhead added.

Outside, Fowler is being chased by three Vehicons.

"Special Agent Fowler to air-defense command. I need immediate combat support." Fowler says through the radio.
