"Hey, I know you like him but maybe you should tell him that? lily is just a fling he is chasing after because his ego won't let him let her go "

it was the time before the Christmas ball and y/n had gathered up the courage to ask James to the dance.
"Oi y/n"
y/n twirled back to see james running towards her
he caught up with her, held her hand and smiled shyly
"Will you go to the ball with me?" he asked
a thousand birds took flight in her stomach because what she was feeling now couldn't be called butterflies.

Remus looked out of the window towards the black lake
he startled at the sight of James and y/n kissing
he smiled, he knew this was inevitable
