When I pulled you aside and looked you bare in the eyes, with nothing to hide but my present fluorescent love and past scars that were scattered across my body side to side, for a moment I could almost look into your mind. I opened my arms to you with my innermost thoughts, my faults and flaws, it's rare of me to welcome a stranger into my world, let alone give him my heart to hold, but there we were our souls cracked through broken doors. I don't know the horrors that hide behind your smile as you don't know mine, but I long to be by your side, taking your pain and making it mine, to welcome you inside, and have you stay awhile. My love runs deep within me, I'd give my life to keep you alive.
