Chapter 2: Leo

The night was getting hollow, every corner of the sky became more shallow than its predecessor, it felt more darker than the abandonment of lucifer from the heavens. Except, this part of loneliness felt like a introduction to a new fantasy, somewhere far, yet somewhere close. Perhaps my consumption of alcohol drove my mind to coldplay aka being the most lousy person ever known to mankind. As i was going closer to my destination beside the eastern coast, i happen to lose my control of the steering, leading to a distortion in direction. Which ultimately costed me to turn my vehicle towards a lonely tree who hasnt seen sunlight since the hiroshima incident, all because of a girl.

My mercedes benz got wrecked from the front bumper which was earlier on collision with the tree my car headlights pointed on. I happen to quickly blow off my loosened self and return to my sane state, somewhat of a concerned matter. I quickly realize what had occurred infront of my naked eyes covered beneath the dark round sunglasses i had on, i happen to rush out of my car seat, open the door to my right and hop out to check the state of the girl i almost 'killed'. Part of me was a bit disappointed because my childhood beloved vehicle got wrecked because of my drunken self, i was furious upon my stupid actions which led me to question myself ultimately,

"i dont think this was worth running over a girl"

"for fucks sake, focus leo whats wrong with you??" i whisper my thoughts slowly into my fazed brain, which was still trying to process the whole accident.

I ran over to the girl and quickly asked if she was okay, i got scared thinking i became a murderer because of my drinking obsession, all because of the habit that was stuck with me like a woman who's mentally ill due to her obsession with fictional book men. I gave away my hand to her to help her get up, in return we exchanged small glances. This girl, she seemed so, effortlessly.. beautiful. Like, she was in her most stay at home-like outfit possible and yet she seemed to take a glimpse from my heart in a moment. I felt rather a bit odd, what was this sudden feeling of overwhelming emotions running towards my head?

"Cant you drive properly? driving like a drunken pirate at a tavern and to add to the annoyance, YOU'RE WEARING SUNGLASSES? AT NIGHT?" She asked me while giving me a death glare along with that aggressive tone. She had a fair point because who would drive with sunglasses on at night especially? Only a idiot like me can do some idiotic shit like that for being over drunk.

"im sincerely sorry miss, are you okay? are you hurt by any chance?" I answered to her question she asked a moment ago with assurance.

"Keep on driving like a bitch and youll end up inside a cell"

Her firm answer led a small tingle within my body, it went through every corner of my body waking it up from the drunken state i was in, as if i was asleep for years.

"atleast you're okay miss, Please how can i help you right now?"

The only thing i could do at the moment was send her the money she lost over those items, except i had no idea how much they costed

The only thing i could do at the moment was send her the money she lost over those items, except i had no idea how much they costed. Probably only 50$ but money was money whether you say its less or more. I had felt much guilty listening to her words of anger, she went on about how expensive they were to her, how long it took for her take those items from afar supermarket, it all added to my extreme amount of guilt that was already built up from her saddening words. But surprisingly, i had noticed the girl had beautiful long, curly hair and her haircut was the icing on top, i had never seen a woman with more beauty, be it a model or a sculpture, she looked like the most 'Im her' girl ever. My eyes were forever more loosened to her looks along with my ears hanging to her angry rants, my whole body took a while to process the entire thing. I reach down to my knees, with both my hands hanging down, i ask her if she ca-        Before i could even finish my sentence she raged upon with her steps, going away from me and quoting god knows what she was blabbering. I felt a huge guilt of repaying her back for what i have done. Maybe i should do it, i should go apologize and do something in repayment.. So i started wandering around the east coast of manhattan, searching for the nearest bar for a drink and a thought of what to do next.

But what i had saw next from my dark shallow green eyes, my ears were blessed for what i will say, centuries long..
