Script 21: Shatter

She blinks and sucks in a breath before she finally fell down on the floor. She landed in an awkward position and she felt her foot stinging along with her arm. At least three bodies lay on top of her, crushing her, almost making her feel as if she was getting molded into the gymnasium floor.

It hurt. Her foot and arm hurt. She wanted to scream but she felt out of breath. She knew something had hit her in the stomach or in the chest and it caused her to have a hard time breathing.

She closes her eyes tightly before she forcefully sucks in air, screaming at the top of her lungs as she lets the air out.

"YUNJIN!!" All her teammates rush towards her, kneeling in front of the pile as Yujin and Minji pull the other players away from on top of her.

"You fucking assholes!" Yunjin hears Minjeong shout amidst the chaos. The crowd was going wild but Yunjin still had her eyes shut. She didn't know what she was going to hold on to, all she knew was that some parts of her body hurt and she could barely breathe.

"Don't just fucking stand there, help her!" Ryujin shouts as she pushes past the opposing team.

"Coach!" Yujin called out and the coach was quick to run towards them, pushing the other players away from Yunjin. "Out of the way!"

Yunjin could hear them all. She could hear all of them clearly, from the opposing team defending themselves, to her friends shouting and screaming at the players for doing something so stupid.

She could hear the coach asking if she was alright but she had no strength left in her body to even respond or move. She wanted to just cry there on the floor, fall asleep, and when that once she woke up, it was all just a bad dream.

"I can't breathe." She muttered out. She slowly opened her eyes a bit and she saw the coach stand up from her kneeling position to call for assistance.

Yunjin sees Hwang Yeji, standing a few feet away, staring down at her with a stoic look on her face. But something in her eyes said that she felt bad. That she looked guilty. That she knew and she wanted to apologize.

Maybe that was the reason why she was telling Yunjin to just pass the ball. She gave up on warning her when Yunjin was determined to get past her.

Maybe it was her fault after all... Maybe she became too greedy. Why was she so greedy in the first place anyway? She didn't know.

As Hwang Yeji turns away from her, Yunjin sighs. She was prepared for a moment like this, she just didn't know that she would be the target.

The whole gymnasium went into chaos the moment that scene with Yunjin and the other players unfolded. The opposing players were caught doing it on purpose. There were a lot of witnesses. Even the referee couldn't protect and defend their actions. In every angle you look at, they were still the one at fault.

There were no excuses for them. They couldn't even defend themselves, this was obviously planned.

Even their audience were disappointed.

But as soon as they pulled Yunjin out of the game and they had to take a short break to sort things out, almost everyone from SCE Academy left their spots and went out of the gymnasium.

It was Soobin who called Sunghoon and the others outside.

"What the actual fuck was that??" Sunghoon had angrily said once they finally stepped outside. "Do these assholes not think??"

"I don't even think they have brains to do that, Hoon." Wonyoung has her arms crossed. It was evident in all their faces that they were angry and frustrated with what happened to Yunjin. The poor girl had to be escorted by everyone.
