If it weren't for Soobin and everyone who acted as witnesses, Yunjin would have been kicked out of the school for fighting with someone from another academy.

With Sieun canceling their rehearsals, she was able to give both Chaewon and Yunjin space from one another. It's not like they would talk to each other anyway.

But the fact that they were partners and the main characters in the play would make it hard for the two of them. They might become awkward and avoidant on stage.

Sieun would not like to see them doing that when they were already able to perform amazingly onstage in their past rehearsals.

Sakura turns and taps Chaewon on the arm. The girl slowly looked up and stared at her. She looked tired and sad...

Not only did she look sleep deprived, her eyes also looked very puffy like she had been crying non-stop.

And Sakura's heart absolutely ached when she saw the younger girl's eyes. She almost forgot what she was going to tell her when she saw it.

She cleared her throat, "How are you feeling?"

Chaewon immediately looks away from her.

As if she was about to tell a lie and Sakura would find out the truth through her eyes. "I'm doing alright, I guess." she mumbles, looking directly down at the court.

The older girl hums. She knew Chaewon was far from alright but she didn't want to push further. She just wanted to know how Chaewon was doing but if the girl was going to answer her with a lie, it's probably best not to ask her any more questions about how she's doing.

So, Sakura leaves it at that.

The sound of the buzzer echoes throughout the whole gymnasium and suddenly, all the members of the teams of each academy are in the middle. The crowd roars as they all cheer for their respective teams.

Sakura sees Yunjin in the middle along with her other teammates and Sakura immediately sees Soobin just in front of them. He turned towards her and held up his thumb, asking her if they were doing alright.

Sakura nodded a bit too quickly but Soobin smiled before turning back.

The older girl checks up on Chaewon once more and she looked sadder if that was even possible.

Could it be that the sight of Yunjin alone made Chaewon feel more... devastated or sad? Maybe.

That was the only thing that was in Sakura's mind when she looked at Chaewon but she can neither confirm nor deny as she cannot ask Chaewon directly.

She turned back to the court and decided to push all those thoughts away as the game finally started.

Surprisingly, the game was going smoothly.

No broken bones and limbs, yet.

The blaring lights from all over the whole gymnasium were doing its job with helping the players see properly. But strangely, in this light, Yunjin felt so exposed. She wonders if people stare at her even after she has already passed the ball.

As Ryujin passes her the ball, she takes a glance at the clock. They only have five minutes left to score before the first quarter comes to an end. While Yunjin tries to think of ways to get past this girl in front of her- Hwang was it? Hwang Yeji? She doesn't know if she was right with the name but all she could think about was what people viewed her in the moment.

The cheer from ACE Academy was deafening and Yunjin could barely hear the shouts from her friends on the other side.

Even the sound of the ball hitting the floor over and over was starting to become too much for her. She takes a careful step forward and Hwang takes a step to the side, blocking her way.
