Although he loves Seol, everything had been the opposite of ideal in her case.

He sees himself in Seol. She has so much of him, he just ignores the other negligible parts. And what does it even matter. Rae is her mother now.

He knows Rae is capable of loving Seol in a way he might never be able to do. She's never been bitter towards her in any sense. The incident that had happened was only out of her own insecurities and distrust in herself. Never because Seol is not hers. He knows that would never be the case.

Still his heart yearns to see, Rae in a child too. See how their genes combine to form a beautiful human. He doesn't even cares if it's a boy or a girl. Just a tiny baby they've created with their love. And their love would live on. Their love that could never die, that could never be killed no matter how much they tried. Their truly eternal love.

And he knows how lonely it is to grow up as a single child. He never knew what it feels like to have a sibling. He doesn't wishes his kid to never know that joy. He wants her to never know that kind of loneliness that threatens to devour one's soul.

"Are we still doing potty training from this weekend?" Rae asks.

"Oh yeah. I don't have high hopes. Let's just see how she responds. Otherwise we'll do it after she turns two." He says, eyes focused on the road. He has it marked on his calendar now. Got all the necessary stuff.

"I think she does understands when she has to go. It's just teaching her to tell us and going to the toilet. She always tells when she needs the diaper changed." Rae says.

Seol flips through the book, repeating the words she remembers that Rae had shown her. Mispronounces them and makes Rae smile with her mistakes. Calls baby as gaby and snowman as koman.

Jungkook tells Rae all about the training techniques he's been learning about. Rae tells him what she thinks would be helpful.

They reach home just in time for Seol's afternoon nap.

Rae finds the laundry bag overflowing and dishes piled in the sink. Her feet get dusty when she barefoot on the floor. She quickly wears her slippers and grabs the vacuum cleaner while Jungkook puts Seol down for her nap.

"I forgot... I'm so sorry. Taking care of Seol alone, I couldn't complete all the chores," Jungkook apologises. Feeling bad that the moment Rae stepped inside the house, she had to start working like crazy.

"Don't waste time by talking. Get the washing machine loaded," Rae tries not to shout at him. She cleans the house while Jungkook loads the laundry and washes the dishes.

Rae takes the laundry out while Jungkook prepares for Seol's snack.

Rae shifts him aside to arrange the kitchen the way she likes.

"Give me some space, it's all a mess, I need to clean it"

Jungkook knows how meticulous she gets when it comes to her kitchen. She likes the autonomy that she gets over the kitchen when she's at home. It's a rare occasion when Jungkook cooks. Not because he doesn't wants to, instead Rae wants to have her kitchen all by herself.

It's mostly just on the days when she's on her period that he cooks. And she does enjoy the soothing soup he makes for her, immensely.

She cleans the fridge when Jungkook comes inside. He looks at the aprons that she has hung on the wall. They're new, one for him, one for her and another little one for Seol. He wonders what it'll look like when there are more people in their home.

"Hey Rae," he calls her sweetly.

"Yes babe," she answers gravely. Busy in her task of checking expiry dates of packed stuff.
