Y/n's POV

I just got back home from the office, tired as always, and landed straight on the couch in the living room.

I let out a long sigh and closed my eyes before muttering to myself,
"I love this part of my day, my couch, and silence."

But little did I know this silence was just a calm before the storm.

Well, I am just kidding.

After a few minutes, I heard my dad calling me.

"Princess, wake up!"
He called as he entered the living room and saw me sleeping comfortably.

I let out a groan before saying,
"agh 5 minutes, dad."

With that, I turned to the other side, making myself more comfortable.

"No time for 5 minutes, get up now and get ready,"
he said in a stern voice.

I looked at him with sleepy eyes and asked,
"what is so serious?"

He crossed his arms and again with his serious tone,
"are you getting up or not?"

I sat up and looked up at him.

"What is it? You are scaring me now."

His face turned into a playful one and he said,
"Good, Jaemin called; he is coming to pick you up, so you have..."

He looked at his wristwatch before continuing,
"half an hour to get ready now."

I got up and started to go to my room sulking,
"Why the hell does he have to ruin my relaxing moments?"

I almost screamed out of frustration.

He pushed me towards my room.

"You can handle him later; now quickly get ready. Otherwise, do you want him to take you like this?"

I huffed and got into my room.

'Na Jaemin, you are so dead today,' I told myself, and started to get ready.

Well, it's been 4 months since we started to date. He really takes care of me, I must say, but that doesn't mean he can ruin my rest like this.

Time skip

Just as I got ready, I heard a car parking in front of the house.

Quite eager, isn't he? It wasn't even a minute before nonstop knocking started on my room door.

I went to open it.

"Coming, comi-"
My jaw dropped when I saw him in that red suit with a black shirt on.

"Now, are you ready?"
He asked in a calm tone, which brought me to my senses.

"Oh, yeah."
I then opened the door completely to reveal my black gown.

Jaemin's POV

I was so excited for today as it's her first birthday after my return and there is a special gift for her from me.

I quickly went to pick her up after all the arrangements as it was 11:45 already.

I straight went to her room after checking on father in the living room as he gave me the permission.

My eyes widened, and I was left speechless when I saw her in that black dress.

"You.. You look amazing."
I simply thought out loud.

"Really? You are looking handsome too." She said with a smile.

I took a deep breath to concentrate as I can't be more late.
