"You should rest some more, your highness." Caspian called out from the bed half naked. Basil's eyes softened as he saw the beta on the bed. "I'll be fine Ian, but I do fancy a massage." Basil said as he sat on the bed next to his wide-awake lover. The big burly and muscular beta sat up slowly kneading the soft yet stiff flesh. His hands slowed down at the alpha's exposed waist.
"The fried chicken your highness invented is a genius as well as the... potato fries? The palace has been in a uproar lately preparing the many delicacies your highness has suggested in time for the signing." Caspian said applying a controlled amount of pressure with his rough scarred hands. He had been insecure about them till the prince had complimented them. The prince had not always been like this. He was spoiled, vain and a figurehead but one day it seemed like the prince woke up and became a whole another person. He no longer mistreated his servants and he was wise as a scholar and brave as a knight. Captain who had earlier resented the crown came to like, he would even say love if it were not forbidden, the prince.
Basil laughed at Caspian's comment. "I merely gave suggestions, it's the palace cooks who really deserve the credit." Basil said enjoying the way Caspain's rough hands released the tension in his body. Fried chicken and fries could hardly be considered a delicacy but this world was indeed different from his own reality. He never would have in a million years predicted that he would get transported to a fantasy omegaverse book he was reading, especially not one he had not even bother finishing.
"You are so humble, your highness. You even found the conspirators in the princess's kidnapping case."
"I didn't do it alone Ian." Basil reminded, "besides if I read more of the original story, I would have been able to catch him sooner." Basil whispered to himself. Caspian did not comment. The guard knew there were weird moments where the prince talked to himself especially about some author or about the plot. He trusted the prince enough not to question it. Prince Basil would tell him everything when he was ready. Basil ran his hand through his hair, "atleast no one died this time or I would have been at Llewyn's funeral right now." Basil suddenly sat up so quickly that he would have fallen off if Caspian had not caught him.
"Oh no, if Llewyn didn't bite his own tongue and die that means the omega revolution doesn't happen. That's good for the crown but it will kickstart the freaking poverty issue and omegas will only continue being mistreated.' Prince Basil talked to himself organizing his thoughts. He suddenly shouted, "I'll just have to mend the laws now instead of after the signing. Gathering support is going to be a pain. I'll need-" Caspian interrupted him, "Your highness, you're still undressed." Before Basil could continue, he added, "and Duke Eden has sent you a letter regarding the omega laws. He seems to have the same opinion as you."
Basil released a huge sigh of relief and sat down. He hugged the guard nuzzling his nose into the rock hard abs. "What would I do without you Ian! Especially with the signing going to take place, I'll need your help more than ever." Basil said his voice slightly muffled. "Always Your Highness. Also," Caspian started to say with a twinge of pain in his voice, "the King of Heliconia is an omega. Some of your court advisors would like it if you were to uhh court him for the," Caspian's voice almost cracked, "for the future of the kingdom."
Basil let go of the guard. He stood up and despite not being the same height looked intimidatingly at the older. "Do you want me to court the Heliconian King?"
"For the sake of the ki-"
"Do you want me to do that?"
