"If this keeps up all day...No, all night long...That stand will boil us alive like fresh octopus!"

"Already on the way there." Breathing that out after what Polnareff had said, you raised a hand throwing it over your eyes, god, this heat was killing you.

"So how do we fight it? Fuck, it's seventy degrees now!" Looking at his thermometer once more Polnareff called out the current temperature. "And if that's not enough, we can't even tell how far away the Stand is! There's no way to find out!"

"Our bet is to take out the user. Mad Dog might've been able to locate them but at this rate everything is too damn hot." Recalling how you'd used your stand earlier, Jotaro sucked in a breath.

"Sorry, but if it's any consolation...the user must be close by- stronger Stands have to have a closer range." Sweat ran down your face like waterfalls and the air was beginning to become heavy from the heat, your clothes practically stuck to your body.

Keeping his eyes above the small rock shelter Jotaro watched the camels, a frown was etched into his expression. "This is bad...The camels are collapsing from the heat..."

"Staying here won't do us any good! I'll use my Hierophant to look around!" Rising up the redhead ignored Joseph's call, "I need to find out how far away the enemy Stand is! If we know how far away it is, we may be able to find the user." The stand in question emerged and began trailing out, Kakyoin calling out the distance up until the sun grew brighter.

"Something's wrong! Kakyoin! Call Hierophant back!"

Pushing yourself up from the small shaded section of the ground you squinted towards the large fireball, "It looks like something coming."

"Before that happens, Emerald..." He wasn't able to finish what he was saying as what you could only relate to meteors were fired back, the redhead falling to his knees as blood began dripping form his newly acquired wounds.

So much happened in such little time; molten rocks were flung everywhere, Silver Chariot was out- and now everyone was huddled into a hole that Star Platinum had made.

"Kakyoin," Calling out to the redhead, you squeezed past Jotaro and Polnareff to rest a hand on the man. "Are you okay?"

Trailing his purple hues over he released a short airy laugh, "Yeah. I was in the middle of using Emerald Splash...That protected me a bit, so I'm not injured. Still, this heat is unbearable...it feels like I'm going insane...and I can only imagine how you feel knowing that this affected you faster."

"Injured my ass but we'll deal with that later," removing your had from resting on him it pressed against your temple, a distinct throbbing could be felt. "Right now we need to figure out how he was able to aim his attack so well. They have to be watching us from somewhere."

Seconds spent in the agonizing heat turned into minutes and you were beginning to feel like your body was about to give way.

Finding yourself huddled at the back of the makeshift cave your hands found themselves clawing through the sand, even just a little bit below there should be cooler sand and yet nothing was found leaving you to grunt.

"Guys, I don't know how long I can hold out..." Your words trailed off as a wave of nausea hit, you hadn't eaten anything all day so right off the bat you could tik off a symptom of heatstroke- that and the pounding headache that remained.

"Just stay back there (Y/N), we don't need anything happening to anyone right now." Calling back Joseph spared you a glance, his eyes softened at the state the heat hat put you in before hardening back up.

Another minute, two minutes...then laughter? Everyone apart from yourself and Joseph had begun laughing.

"Good god everyone's gone crazy."

"(Y/N), what are we going to do?"

"Don't ask me I thought I'd pass out by now." Snapping back at the back you watch him trail towards Jotaro grabbing the ebony haired man's coat.

"Hey, Jotaro! Get a grip! Calm the hell down! The only way to win when the going gets rough is to stay calm!" A hand was placed on Joseph shoulder but not from Jotaro, from Kakyoin.

The redhead having wiped a tear from his eye beforehand, "You've got it all wrong, Mr.Joestar...Both of you, Look at that rock over there." Shifting so you could see as well Kakyoin pointed over towards the horizon. "Doesn't it look about big enough for someone to hide behind?"

"What do you mean?"

"Now look at the rock on the other side." Following his hand as it trailed towards another rock you went to question him before realizing what they were laughing at before, a loud 'oh!' left your lips. "(Y/N) gets it."

"You still don't see it Joseph?" Wobbling to get up you squeezed between the two beginning to explain how you understood. "The rocks are exactly the same and the shadows also on the wrong side."

Realizing Joseph wasn't getting it Jotaro excused himself past the tree of you, Star Platinum once again being summoned although this time he picked up a rock hurling it towards the rock with an incorrect shadow.

"A hole appeared in the air!" "Gimme a break. You're worthless, Gramps. I'm just gonna assume the heat fried your brain. I can't accept that you're actually my grandfather, otherwise."

At Jotaro's comment you couldn't help but laugh, that's something you felt like you'd said with different terms of course to the older man.

The heat from before instantly vanished much to your relief leaving behind a star covered sky. "Since we defeated the enemy Stand, night had finally begun. Or rather, it returned to normal" Offering you a hand Kakyoin helped hoist you out from the hole, the redhead being careful with how quickly you moved.

"You wanna live in that fucking hole?" "R-Right..." Once again a laugh couldn't help but leave you at the two's interaction, sometimes it was a surprise to be reminded that they were related and were both descendants of Jonathan considering how different they all were.

"Well at least it's all over now." Humming that out the cool night air felt nice against your heated skin, although your brain still felt like a boiled lobster your temperature was going down quite quickly.

"Already? I mean we didn't even learn his name or his sta-" "it was the sun, clearly." Cutting in once more you spared the butthurt man a lopsided smile.

"What matters now is that's one less stand user to go."
