"What is that?"
"It's a triskele. The spirals mean different things. Past, present, future; mother, father, child..." Boyd told them all. Irene just nodded her head and sat down on one of the seats in the broken down train
"Do you know what it means to me?" Derek asked
"Alpha, Beta, Omega?" Irene spoke up, earning a smile and nod of approval from Derek
"That's right. It's a spiral. It reminds us that we can all rise to one or fall to another. Betas can become Alphas, but Alphas can also fall to Betas, or even Omegas"
"Like Scott?" Isaac asked which just made Irene roll her eyes at his comment. Scott was anything but an omega and he's made that clear a few times
"Scott's with us"
"Really? Then where is he now?" Isaac asked
"He's looking for Jackson" Derek said as he pulled out chains from a big gym bag "Don't worry, he's not gonna have it easy tonight, either. None of us will. There's a price you pay for this kind of power. You get the ability to heal, but tonight, you're gonna want to kill anything you can find"
"Good thing I had my period last week" Erica said jokingly
Irene sighed and waited as Derek tied the cuffs around her wrists, chaining her to one of the metal bars. He gave her a look as if asking if she was ok to which she nodded her head. He then turned to Boyd and Erica with the cuffs
"What if we break free?" Boyd asked
"Then you'll do anything you can to get out of here. Probably try to kill me, then kill each other, and kill anything else with a heartbeat" Derek then turned to Boyd and Isaac "I need you to hold her"
"So, how come she gets to wear the headband?" Isaac asked as he held Erica by the arm
"Because she'll be able to withstand more pain than the three of you. I've got an extra one if you really want it..."
"I'll pass" He mumbled
Derek then turned to Erica "You ready?" He asked
"Yeah..." She nodded. Derek then placed the thing around her head and began to tighten the screws until Erica's screams of pain were loud enough
He finished chaining up Boyd when he made his way to Isaac, slowly chaining him up as well. But he stopped when Isaac looked down at him. Derek was the only one out of all of them not sweating or struggling to control himself.
"How do you not feel this?" Isaac grunted
"I feel every second of it." He replied
"Then how do you control it?" Irene asked him quietly
"Find an anchor, something meaningful to you. Bind yourself to it. Keep the human side in control" He told them, finishing up the chains on Isaac before standing back up.
"What is it for you?"
Derek hesitated at first before sighing and looking at Irene "Anger. But it doesn't have to be that for everybody"
"You mean Scott?" Isaac asked
"Yeah"
As the full moon continued to rise Irene felt a new anger building inside her. An anger that made her want to attack anybody she saw. An anger that gave her a new kind of strength. She noticed Derek on the phone and after managing to break one hand out of the cuffs she let out a loud growl as she fussed around to free her other hand
"I think you'll be okay now. Looks like you found an anchor" She heard Derek tell Isaac
"My father"
"Your father locked you in a freezer in the basement to punish you."
